I slept in until 9, watched Regis and Kelly (my fave), went for a leisurely long run, and just got back from three hours at the pool with Ashley and Amberlee. YEP! Must be SUMMERTIME. 🙂
I’ve been home in Madison since Friday afternoon, and today has been the first time I’ve been able to catch my breath since finishing up finals last week.
Since being home I’ve worked every morning at The Westin training to be a server. I LOVE IT! The people are incredible and it’s such a step up from restaurants I’ve worked at in the past. The pay isn’t so bad either, which is a plus! Once I get completely settled with this job, I’m going to make a schedule with the youth ministry internship. I’m excited about that too!
Stephanie Millhouse’s wedding was this past Saturday (after work) and it was gorgeous! She was a beautiful bride and her new husband seems like such a perfect man for her. It was fun seeing some friends from high school also!
My sister and I are in the process of going through all of our clothes and old stuff from high school and getting rid a ton! We’re planning on having a huge garage sale next Saturday. Since moving into our new house two years ago my parents have not stopped working on all kinds of little projects, and their most recent project was turning my old room into a beautiful guest room and bought me & Jen twin beds to go in her room (she def has the biggest room of the three kids! ha). So now I have a roommate at home! The room looks great, but now we just have so much stuff that has to go for all of our stuff from college to fit. She actually has a room off of her room (its weird) that my dad recently built me a new closet in and that’s where we have all of our stuff stored for now. It’s a mess! It’s all keeping us busy though.
Jamie comes home in three days. Hooray!
Hi! I’m Erica, and I absolutely adore sharing my life on this website with you! I come here almost daily to blab about all of the things related to being a regular wife and mother in today’s ever-evolving society. I share about our new home, what’s on our kitchen table, what we’re hanging in our closets, where we’re traveling to next, my crazy 5 a.m. work outs, how I make time for girlfriends, our faith, and much more. We always have a lot of balls in the air and somewhat thrive on the chaos. I believe in the power of story-telling as a form of inspiration and entertainment, so I’m here to do both! I was born and raised in north Alabama and recently re-planted roots here again after my husband transitioned out of the Army (he is now in the Reserve and it’s going so well!) I’m a super proud mom to three little girls (ages 7, 4, and 1) who seem to be the stars of the show around here (for good reason – they’re pretty great!) I’m so glad you found me and are here reading! I hope we can get to know each other here on the blog as well as Facebook and/or Instagram. xoxo
