I am going to use my blog to vent about how much I hate all things related to AIRPORTS! A flight that I am going to buy for a wedding in December has gone up $50 in 46 HOURS!!! It’s not like we’re going anywhere that everybody else wants to go; we’re going to Medford, OREGON! What is in Oregon and WHY are the flights going up so much in October?! If you knew how much me and Jamie’s flights were costing you’d think we were out of our minds… 🙁
It’s been very difficult flying across country (New York and Arizona) to see Jamie the last three years. I am over it! On a positive note I am SO SO beyond thankful for frequent flyer miles (a couple times) from my dad and Jamie’s generous parents, but if I have to look at kayak.com, orbitz.com, or priceline.com ONE MORE TIME I am going to go crazy. We are justifying all these flights lately because when he’s deployed we wont spend ANY money on each other for a year, so we might as well spend it now in order to get as much time together as we possibly can. It’s SO worth it to spend time with Jamie, but I HATE eating fast food in airports, being woken up so people can squeeze by me to pee on the plane, and having my carry-on bag scrutizined like I’m a freaking terrorist because I’m too CHEAP to spend another $50 to put my bag under the plane. UGH!
If you read this all the way through, but don’t think I’m a hateful person. 🙂 I really am thankful for the opportunity with time and money to fly, but is it so much to ask to pay for GAS MONEY to spend time with the one I love rather than PLANE MONEY? oh well. 19 months til wedding bells. 🙂
I am going to end this post on a funny note…
Hi! I’m Erica, and I absolutely adore sharing my life on this website with you! I come here almost daily to blab about all of the things related to being a regular wife and mother in today’s ever-evolving society. I share about our new home, what’s on our kitchen table, what we’re hanging in our closets, where we’re traveling to next, my crazy 5 a.m. work outs, how I make time for girlfriends, our faith, and much more. We always have a lot of balls in the air and somewhat thrive on the chaos. I believe in the power of story-telling as a form of inspiration and entertainment, so I’m here to do both! I was born and raised in north Alabama and recently re-planted roots here again after my husband transitioned out of the Army (he is now in the Reserve and it’s going so well!) I’m a super proud mom to three little girls (ages 7, 4, and 1) who seem to be the stars of the show around here (for good reason – they’re pretty great!) I’m so glad you found me and are here reading! I hope we can get to know each other here on the blog as well as Facebook and/or Instagram. xoxo
