I am six days away from being a “wifey” (as Jamie likes to say) and having a husband!
As most of you know, we only decided to push up our wedding date 40 days ago. It’s been quite a whirlwind and A LOT of fun! There’s been some stressful and tired days here and there, but for the most part it’s been a “can someone please pinch us? Is this really happening?” type mindset. My parents decided to leave for the beach TODAY because there were concerned about being able to get down there on Tuesday like originally planned. Bad winter weather usually always shuts down parts of I65, so they decided YESTERDAY MORNING to leave today! That left me with a VERY busy morning yesterday. Not only was I supposed to be getting ready for my bachelorette party, but now I had to get EVERYTHING together for my parents to take down in the truck. Thankfully, I’ve had everything fairly organized in a specific area of the house, so getting everything together was more or less packing things up in boxes and checking them off my mental list. The wonderful and incredible Amanda Armacost was able to get my parents a deal at a hotel in Destin for a couple nights, so that worked out well for them until they can get into the beach house on Tuesday.
My weeks looks like this:
– no school tomorrow, which means finishing up putting some gifts together and grading papers
– faculty wedding shower on Tuesday (love my wonderful workplace!)
– leaving Wednesday after school for the beach! swinging by Birmingham Southern to get my brother and we’ll be on our way!
– hair and makeup trial thursday + nails
-the majority of my bridesmaids arriving Thursday night!! SO SO excited to spend some time in the beach house with my friends!!
– bridal luncheon friday morning, rehearsal and rehearsal dinner on Friday
– GETTING HITCHED at 3PM Saturday! 🙂
I will finish up this post with a mention of my bachelorette party and lingerie shower yesterday! We had so much fun! My sister planned everything and did a GREAT job! I rode down with Ash and Emily and we picked up the wedding rings before heading over to the Hyatt hotel in Hoover. Jenn had everything decorated SO cute! Nine of us went to dinner at CPK and then headed back to the hotel for my lingerie shower and a few games… 🙂 We ended the night at Innisfree and had a GOOD time. Fun, fun night. Thanks so much to those who came! I can’t wait to see y’all again this weekend!
Hi! I’m Erica, and I absolutely adore sharing my life on this website with you! I come here almost daily to blab about all of the things related to being a regular wife and mother in today’s ever-evolving society. I share about our new home, what’s on our kitchen table, what we’re hanging in our closets, where we’re traveling to next, my crazy 5 a.m. work outs, how I make time for girlfriends, our faith, and much more. We always have a lot of balls in the air and somewhat thrive on the chaos. I believe in the power of story-telling as a form of inspiration and entertainment, so I’m here to do both! I was born and raised in north Alabama and recently re-planted roots here again after my husband transitioned out of the Army (he is now in the Reserve and it’s going so well!) I’m a super proud mom to three little girls (ages 7, 4, and 1) who seem to be the stars of the show around here (for good reason – they’re pretty great!) I’m so glad you found me and are here reading! I hope we can get to know each other here on the blog as well as Facebook and/or Instagram. xoxo
