My agenda for my Spring Break in Clarksville, Tennessee with Jamie:
– read all three novels I brought (two for pleasure, one for work)
– grade 57 critical reviews
– work out as soon as I woke up Monday – Friday
– work on my Tennessee teaching certification
– prepare and cook dinner Monday – Friday for Jamie and me
– RELAX!
What actually happened:
– read zero books
– graded nine essays
– worked out 2.5 times (the half counts as a “I went to the gym, did a cardio machine for 20 minutes, realized I didn’t want to be there, and walked out)
– discussed with Jamie 5,302,482 times what time of home we wanted to get (Let’s get a townhome. No, let’s get a house. Well, what about that apartment? Maybe we should buy. No, let’s go with the townhome. We should buy. YADDA YADDA)
– Cook three dinners (if you could chicken helper and spaghetti as great dinners!) 🙂
– Agreed to BUY A HOME
The whole “buying a home” thing was outrageous. It was truly exciting to go through the entire process with Jamie, but BOY OH BOY were we running around like chickens with our heads cut off. It was like the blind leading the blind. Hysterical. Stay tuned for a comedy show of a blog post when I publish the story of how this house came to be. 🙂
In a nutshell, I want to say that I am happy! There is a lot of change going on in my life right now with my job, living situation, and being seperated from my husband, but at the end of the day I am thankful for the madness. I am growing daily in a number of ways and am excited for what the next few months hold.
Hi! I’m Erica, and I absolutely adore sharing my life on this website with you! I come here almost daily to blab about all of the things related to being a regular wife and mother in today’s ever-evolving society. I share about our new home, what’s on our kitchen table, what we’re hanging in our closets, where we’re traveling to next, my crazy 5 a.m. work outs, how I make time for girlfriends, our faith, and much more. We always have a lot of balls in the air and somewhat thrive on the chaos. I believe in the power of story-telling as a form of inspiration and entertainment, so I’m here to do both! I was born and raised in north Alabama and recently re-planted roots here again after my husband transitioned out of the Army (he is now in the Reserve and it’s going so well!) I’m a super proud mom to three little girls (ages 7, 4, and 1) who seem to be the stars of the show around here (for good reason – they’re pretty great!) I’m so glad you found me and are here reading! I hope we can get to know each other here on the blog as well as Facebook and/or Instagram. xoxo
