Hi! I’m Erica, and I absolutely adore sharing my life on this website with you! I come here almost daily to blab about all of the things related to being a regular wife and mother in today’s ever-evolving society. I share about our new home, what’s on our kitchen table, what we’re hanging in our closets, where we’re traveling to next, my crazy 5 a.m. work outs, how I make time for girlfriends, our faith, and much more. We always have a lot of balls in the air and somewhat thrive on the chaos. I believe in the power of story-telling as a form of inspiration and entertainment, so I’m here to do both! I was born and raised in north Alabama and recently re-planted roots here again after my husband transitioned out of the Army (he is now in the Reserve and it’s going so well!) I’m a super proud mom to three little girls (ages 7, 4, and 1) who seem to be the stars of the show around here (for good reason – they’re pretty great!) I’m so glad you found me and are here reading! I hope we can get to know each other here on the blog as well as Facebook and/or Instagram. xoxo

HAPPY INDEPENDENCE DAY!
My good friend Bethy really loves America 🙂 Isn’t she presh?!
My 16 days of traveling have been going quite well, as I have been surrounded by many of the people that I love the most! Tampa was a good time with my fam, and I’m looking forward to heading to Huntsville tomorrow for a few days of hang out time with my parents. I have also really missed my DOG! Pathetic. I DID catch some treats for him though at the parade this morning. 😉
Speaking of the PARADE, greetings this time from ATL, more specifically Dunwoody, Georgia, home of the fabulous Koepke familia.
I am here for a few days with these lovely ladies and we are having a dang good time.
Like the rest of you Americans, we are hoping to catch some good fireworks tonight. 🙂
Backtracking a little bit, BEFORE we headed to Atlanta yesterday, a group of sorority sisters and I all headed up to Chattanooga, TN for the Caldwell wedding Saturday night.
I would be lying if I said that I did not tear up as Abbie walked down the aisle to Gray. I think we ALL did a little bit. Abbie is one of those all around incredible friends, and she has definitely found her perfect match. I met Gray shortly after they started dating in early 2008, and I remember thinking that he was one of the most hilarious people I had ever talked to. They are crazy about each other. I have NO doubt in my mind that they are going to live a VERY happy life together, which is starting in Denver. Can’t wait to visit. 🙂
The wedding was phenomenal… good food, six piece band, fabulous/unique color combo (silver and bright yellow… looked awesome), and good times with good friends.
One of the best parts of attending lots of weddings (HOORAY for the stage of life I’m in right now… love it!) is getting to spend SO much more time with friends. We (Bama AOIIs) already know of three that are on tap for next year (Caitlin and Brian, Bethy and Bradley, Jessica and Brandon), so goodbyes usually aren’t too hard because we know it won’t be too long before we’re all together again.
Yesterday, Bethy, Mary E, and I did some shopping and sightseeing in Chattanooga.
BTW – I think stripes are in? Between the three of us, I believe we bought seven stripped shirts/dresses. Sheesh. They’re all super cute though. Hm.
OKay, I think I’m going to take a little snooze. I’m suddenly getting extremely sleepy.
Thanks for reading some boring updates. 🙂
Hoping to post some more interesting stuff soon.
xoxo –
