favorite things!

Some of my favorite things lately….
[NOTE]
Some of the best things in life aren’t “things” at all, right? Cheeeeesy. 😉
1. MAC white eyeliner
Wear it on your waterline and it’ll make the white of your eye appear even whiter. It’s awesome and has definitely been a makeup staple lately.
2. Getting to a good running pace and playing Building 429’s “Where I Belong” over. and over. and over. The chorus just fires me up! It’s a great song to run to on the treadmill; during the chorus I’m up to 7.0+ easily, but then during normal verses I’m back to 6.2ish. It’s great for speed workouts. It’s SO easy to get lost in the words as well as the rhythm.
3. Hearing the doorbell ring when you’ve been expecting friends.
4. Opening up the door from the garage and seeing Teddy absolutely LOSE HIS MIND with excitement. I swear he smiles. He’s the happiest, coolest dog!

5. That feeling when I’ve finished a workout or long run that I didn’t want to do, but am so happy that I did it. Add no plans for the rest of the day and a long bubble bath, and life is good.
6. Long chats with Amber Davis on our couple of recent runs.
7. GRAPEFRUIT. I’ve been obsessed lately!
8. Texts from Jamie asking me if I’m free to SKYPE with him.
9. Panera Bread’s “You Pick Two”… more specifically a half smoked turkey sandwich (plain) and a half chicken bbq salad or cup of chicken noodle soup. ohmygosh YUM. When I’m traveling with work, Panera’s YP2 has me roped in for every lunch and every dinner. Daryn Jackson totally sees eye-to-eye with me on this one. 😉
10. Regis & Kelly’s host chat, except now Regis has “moved on”. I am not too prideful to admit that I cried through his entire last show. If you watched it you KNOW what I’m talkin’ about. Holy smokes EMOTIONAL. He made me laugh every single morning (that I wasn’t on the road of course).
11. Hearing “Oh Holy Night” on the radio. Favorite feel-good Christmas song.
12. H&M camisoles. I bought several when I was in Germany and throw one on under almost everything I wear! It’s everything that can be perfect about a cami.
13.Gabriel Iglesias youtube videos. Whether I’m watching them with Jamie or 10+ people from my extended fam on Thanksgiving, SOMEBODY is crying from laughter in the room.
14. Having an organized filing cabinet. WHAT A NERD. I know. 🙂 But I seriously LOVE finding paperwork from college, Jamie’s power of attorney, deployment orders, Teddy’s vet records, etc. at the snap of a finger!

Erica

Hi! I’m Erica, and I absolutely adore sharing my life on this website with you! I come here almost daily to blab about all of the things related to being a regular wife and mother in today’s ever-evolving society. I share about our new home, what’s on our kitchen table, what we’re hanging in our closets, where we’re traveling to next, my crazy 5 a.m. work outs, how I make time for girlfriends, our faith, and much more. We always have a lot of balls in the air and somewhat thrive on the chaos. I believe in the power of story-telling as a form of inspiration and entertainment, so I’m here to do both! I was born and raised in north Alabama and recently re-planted roots here again after my husband transitioned out of the Army (he is now in the Reserve and it’s going so well!) I’m a super proud mom to three little girls (ages 7, 4, and 1) who seem to be the stars of the show around here (for good reason – they’re pretty great!) I’m so glad you found me and are here reading! I hope we can get to know each other here on the blog as well as Facebook and/or Instagram. xoxo
