How I got involved with AdvoCare and why it was the BEST decision

I can’t count how many of my girlfriends have asked me “So what is up with this AdvoCare stuff?”. Most of them are not surprised in the slightest that I jumped right into another adventure after I resigned from teaching to be a stay-at-home mama!

I was determined to gain only a healthy amount of weight during my pregnancy, but during the last two months I embarrassingly didn’t give too flips about eating healthy anymore! I was frustrated with Jamie being gone, I was wearing my preggo stretchy pants 100% of the time, yadda yadda yadda.
About two weeks before I had Hadley, I saw my high school friend Courtney post about this weight loss program designed for those who are breastfeeding (what I now know is AdvoCare’s breastfeeding version of their flagship 24 day challenge program). Since I had to be in one of my best friend’s wedding mid-December, I knew that I had to be intentional about dropping the extra weight instead of just relying on breastfeeding and maybe eating healthy when I felt like it. I also knew that if I invested my money in the program that I’d be a lot more likely to complete it successfully.
To make what could be a REALLY long post short, I started the program on December 1st (two weeks postpartum), and I dropped about 11 pounds by the December 21st wedding. I’ve had some people laugh at me and say “Come on – everyone loses weight after they have a baby and breastfeed. You really think it’s these products?” YES. Absolutely. Without a doubt! If I’d gained the suggested amount of weight (25-30ish pounds), then breastfeeding probably would have taken care of that eventually. I’d gained 40, and though most of it was from being pregnant, a good chunk of it was from eating fatty foods and not exercising. THAT was the weight that AdvoCare has helped me lose in a very healthy, maintainable way. Not only have I gotten back down to my prepregnancy weight, but I feel incredible. So. Much. Energy!

Today is February 19th, and as of this morning I’ve lost 19.5 pounds since starting AdvoCare products on December 1st (42.5 lbs since having Hadley). I’m not bragging, but I am hoping to encourage others who are looking to drop weight intentionally; This is the way to go!

About the products themselves – I’ve only been taking products that are approved for breastfeeding moms. I’ve never been a napper, and I still don’t nap now that I have Hadley and am up a couple times a night. I credit that to SPARK! Spark is a natural energy drink that has 21 vitamins and ZERO crash. I drink it twice a day on an empty stomach, and it gives me just what I need to get through the day. I also drink a meal replacement shake every morning (I switch it up between chocolate, strawberry, vanilla, and chocolate mocha) and have yet to get sick of them! I blend it up with almond milk and ice in my Ninja blender, and I feel like I’m getting a yummy dessert-like shake for breakfast every morning. Omegaplex has helped big time with my cravings for sugar. Catalyst is also a non-negotiable! It’s been called “liposuction in a bottle”, and I believe it! I love that I’m starting to tone up again. I also drink a rehydrate after my workouts. Confession – Sometimes I’ll actually work out just so that I can drink a rehydrate. 🙂 They are yummy! I love the mango pineapple. Since I haven’t been able to run much outside due to this terrible weather, I’ve been doing the new CU24 Level Two DVDs. Love them!

Jamie was skeptical of all of it at first, but now he is fully on board and a lover of the products himself. Talking with our friends Amanda and Brandon Forbes also sold Jamie completely! Jamie is training for the Boston Marathon, and he swears by the O2 Gold, Rehydrate, Rehydrate Gels, and Spark.

Most of my friends also know that I’ve gotten involved with the business side! I always swore I’d never get involved with direct marketing, but I seriously can’t help but share about my new love affair with this company and these products. I’ve been without a teacher paycheck for three months, but with AdvoCare I’ve made back about half the money that I would have made as a teacher. Even though I haven’t matched what I made teaching, I am thrilled that I am still able to contribute to my family’s income while still being home with Hadley. I also don’t feel like I’ve “worked”. All I have to do is share what these products and this business is doing for me and for my family physically and financially, and they sell themselves. I seriously LOVE watching my family and friends get incredible results after doing the 24 day challenge and then sometimes staying on products to continue getting their desired results.

So that’s what I’ve been up to on the side! With all of that being said, please get in touch with me for more information about getting some products, trying the whole 24 day challenge, and/or getting set up with the business aspect!

Hi! I’m Erica, and I absolutely adore sharing my life on this website with you! I come here almost daily to blab about all of the things related to being a regular wife and mother in today’s ever-evolving society. I share about our new home, what’s on our kitchen table, what we’re hanging in our closets, where we’re traveling to next, my crazy 5 a.m. work outs, how I make time for girlfriends, our faith, and much more. We always have a lot of balls in the air and somewhat thrive on the chaos. I believe in the power of story-telling as a form of inspiration and entertainment, so I’m here to do both! I was born and raised in north Alabama and recently re-planted roots here again after my husband transitioned out of the Army (he is now in the Reserve and it’s going so well!) I’m a super proud mom to three little girls (ages 7, 4, and 1) who seem to be the stars of the show around here (for good reason – they’re pretty great!) I’m so glad you found me and are here reading! I hope we can get to know each other here on the blog as well as Facebook and/or Instagram. xoxo
