With vacation time just three weeks away, today seemed like as good a day as any to start a 10-day cleanse. I’m also getting over a nasty virus that Hadley and I have both had this past week, so my body needs some cleansing! This time around I’m determined to get through the 10 days without a lick of cheating so that I can see max results.
I started the morning with a spark and catalyst.
I stepped away for probably 90 seconds to mix this up and snap this pic, and when I turned around to see Hadley, this is what I saw. She’s getting so mischievous!
30 minutes later I walked out the door for a quick run.
I came back to a rehydrate (my FAVORITE!) and a full camelbak of water.
After I got out of the shower, I mixed up my fiber drink and sipped on it as I got ready for church.
For breakfast I had a chocolate mocha shake mixed up in my Ninja blender with ice cubes and water. I also threw in a spoonful of chia seeds since they are so stinkin’ good for you. Two OmegaPlex pills (essentially fish oil) finished up breakfast!
Since I wasn’t planning on starting the cleanse today, I didn’t have my lunches and dinners prepped, so I whipped something together that’s “cleanse friendly” but weren’t necessarily meals I looked forward to.
I did a big grocery trip today (preparation is KEY to success), so I had some whole grain bread and veggies on hand. For lunch AND dinner (I ate this twice) I heated up some shredded chicken and put it between two slices of bread topped sliced tomatoes and romaine lettuce. Again, not my favorite meal but it was satisfying, filling, and cleanse-friendly. Jamie had a buddy over for dinner that he grilled some man food with, so I didn’t have to worry too much about making dinner for him. 🙂
For “dessert” I treated myself to a whole bunch of fresh raspberries.
I’ll take my herbal cleanse pills right before I head to bed. One day down, nine to go!
Hi! I’m Erica, and I absolutely adore sharing my life on this website with you! I come here almost daily to blab about all of the things related to being a regular wife and mother in today’s ever-evolving society. I share about our new home, what’s on our kitchen table, what we’re hanging in our closets, where we’re traveling to next, my crazy 5 a.m. work outs, how I make time for girlfriends, our faith, and much more. We always have a lot of balls in the air and somewhat thrive on the chaos. I believe in the power of story-telling as a form of inspiration and entertainment, so I’m here to do both! I was born and raised in north Alabama and recently re-planted roots here again after my husband transitioned out of the Army (he is now in the Reserve and it’s going so well!) I’m a super proud mom to three little girls (ages 7, 4, and 1) who seem to be the stars of the show around here (for good reason – they’re pretty great!) I’m so glad you found me and are here reading! I hope we can get to know each other here on the blog as well as Facebook and/or Instagram. xoxo
