This springtime weather is definitely making Kansas grow on me a bit. It’s been gorgeous here! The humidity is low, the breeze is fabulous, and the temperatures have been perfect with highs sitting anywhere between 60 and 80. We’ve heard the summers around here are really brutal, so we’ve been trying to spend as much time outside as possible the last week or so. Here’s a slice of our lives through my iPhone lately. 🙂
I know I’m late to the Birchbox world, but I was so tickled when I received my first box a few days ago! My two best friends from home got me a several month subscription for my birthday and I’m thrilled because getting mail and packages is totally up my alley.
Soon after we got home from Alabama I hung this sign on Hadley’s bedroom door that my sweet friend Savannah had made for Hadley. I love it!
We are really into hairbrushes and combs and just my hair in general right now. She loves to watch me comb or brush my hair and pulls at my leg to let her try every time she’s in the bathroom with me. I love my little sidekick!
Last Saturday I got away for a little bit to celebrate my friend Sarah’s 30th birthday at a popular place in town called The Chef. We all sat around and talked for almost three hours! Good girl time.
This is what she looked like after a few hours of hardcore playing with Jack. She went down the slide face first on her belly one to many times.
By 8 o’clock she was so beyond ready for bed. She’s in a very snuggly stage, and we honestly can’t get enough of it.
Our Wednesday morning was spent with our buddies the Landers again. Hadley and I met Meg and Jack at the local Linear Trail and ran a few miles before we all packed up and headed straight to the library for the “Move and Groove” story time. By noon Hadley couldn’t keep her eyes open another minute if she tried.
After the gym yesterday we swung by a local park around the corner so Hadley could get some more energy out before her afternoon nap. She figured out that going head first down the slide isn’t a great idea, so sliding on her belly is now her method of choice.
I took this picture a few nights ago because it features three of her favorite things – her bottle, her wubbanub, and her blanket. Somehow she’s figured out how to climb on the couch while holding on to all three. She’s clever!
Instead of going on a walk a few nights ago we just hung around out front and let her run around between dinner and bath time.
I took this picture when I was walking back in the house after getting the mail because I just thought the flag looked beautiful. I’m infatuated with seeing our yard come to life and the sky look so deep blue. Please excuse my husband’s running shirt he left on the walkway. 🙂
Hi! I’m Erica, and I absolutely adore sharing my life on this website with you! I come here almost daily to blab about all of the things related to being a regular wife and mother in today’s ever-evolving society. I share about our new home, what’s on our kitchen table, what we’re hanging in our closets, where we’re traveling to next, my crazy 5 a.m. work outs, how I make time for girlfriends, our faith, and much more. We always have a lot of balls in the air and somewhat thrive on the chaos. I believe in the power of story-telling as a form of inspiration and entertainment, so I’m here to do both! I was born and raised in north Alabama and recently re-planted roots here again after my husband transitioned out of the Army (he is now in the Reserve and it’s going so well!) I’m a super proud mom to three little girls (ages 7, 4, and 1) who seem to be the stars of the show around here (for good reason – they’re pretty great!) I’m so glad you found me and are here reading! I hope we can get to know each other here on the blog as well as Facebook and/or Instagram. xoxo
