Stitch Fix Review #6

Time for another round of posing for silly pictures for the sake of reviewing my latest Stitch Fix box. Hope you enjoy!
I have my closet organized by garment style, and while cleaning out my closet recently I noticed that I do not need a single shirt that has any type of sleeve. On the other hand, I have very few shirts that are sleeveless for summer, so I requested a few to be included in this box. I also requested casual summer dresses.
Here we go!
I tried on this top first because I love the color. I also really love that this shirt has a liner inside, so no need for a camisole like last month’s shirt that was a similar color.

I think the beading detail is beautiful and also love the more modest neckline. I initially worried about how well the beading detail would hold up, but the shirt came with a bag of extra beads if I ever needed them.
I so love this next shirt and feel like if I keep it I’ll be pulling it out of my closet constantly. It’s made by designer Daniel Rainn, and I’ve purchased about five of his tops in the past that are this material that have all lasted at least five years of frequent use. I actually wore one of his tops to church last Sunday. I love clothing that I can wash and wear with little fuss, and his pieces fit the bill.

I don’t have any other garments this color, so that’s a plus. Finally, I’m really loving the sleeveless crocheted detail. The thing I’m struggling with is the price point. Compared to this designer’s tops I’ve purchased in the past, the price for this one is super high. Sigh.

I’ll be the first to call out that my hair is getting really wild in these next few pictures. I was trying on these clothes really quick! As far as the shirt goes, it’s not a winner. I think the neckline is flattering but I don’t like the way it bunches out on the bottom (from the side it made me look pregnant). I’m also not a huge fan of the print.

I could see this shirt looking great with a fitted black blazer for work, but since I’m not working outside of the house right now I won’t be throwing on a blazer any time soon. 😉

Let’s also talk about my earring situation because now I’m missing one. #hotmess

Dresses! Love this one. I think the halter style is really pretty while still modest, but this size is too big on me plus it makes me look more hip-y than I like.

The last item I tried on was this black and white cocktail-type dress. It fit me really well and was so comfortable, but I have nowhere to wear this little number to. I’m also not loving the print.

This is one of those items that I liked better on me than I did on the hanger but still not enough to keep.

What is Stitch Fix?

Stitch Fix is a stop-anytime apparel subscription service that sends customers five pieces of clothing and accessories each month (or more or less depending on one’s preferences) based on price points that one designates in her profile. Stitch Fix stylists hand-pick what to send each customer based on one’s online profile created upon sign up. Customers are charged a $20 styling fee upfront per shipment, but the styling fee is later applied to any item(s) the customers chooses to keep.  If one chooses to send back all five items, Stitch Fix keeps the $20 fee. A customer’s best bet is to keep at least one item since $20 has already been paid. Stitch Fix also includes a prepaid bad to send all unwanted items back. If a customer chooses to keep all five items, she gets a 25% discount off of the entire box. So awesome! I love this concept of shopping!

Additional note: As of a couple weeks ago, Stitch Fix now offers petite sizes and maternity styles!

Hi! I’m Erica, and I absolutely adore sharing my life on this website with you! I come here almost daily to blab about all of the things related to being a regular wife and mother in today’s ever-evolving society. I share about our new home, what’s on our kitchen table, what we’re hanging in our closets, where we’re traveling to next, my crazy 5 a.m. work outs, how I make time for girlfriends, our faith, and much more. We always have a lot of balls in the air and somewhat thrive on the chaos. I believe in the power of story-telling as a form of inspiration and entertainment, so I’m here to do both! I was born and raised in north Alabama and recently re-planted roots here again after my husband transitioned out of the Army (he is now in the Reserve and it’s going so well!) I’m a super proud mom to three little girls (ages 7, 4, and 1) who seem to be the stars of the show around here (for good reason – they’re pretty great!) I’m so glad you found me and are here reading! I hope we can get to know each other here on the blog as well as Facebook and/or Instagram. xoxo
