I’m getting butterflies in my stomach just putting this post together! Ahh this life is crazy.
Look who is going to be the absolute cutest big sis!
We are beyond excited and thankful to be growing our family and to welcome another precious little life in April!
I love my family so much, but we’ve known for a while that we weren’t complete yet. Somebody’s been missing, and we are just over the moon to meet him or her in the spring. We can’t wait to have another pair of hands to hold, cheeks to kiss, and someone else to care for and raise. Gah, we’re excited!
As far as emotions go, we’re feeling them all – emotions about the deployment, emotions about a second baby, emotions about all of the change. I don’t like sitting on the couch with Jamie as we tear up thinking about his and Hadley’s eventual “see ya later”, but honestly it feels so good to feel and be reminded of deep love. It feels so good to be in the moment with my family as we soak up every hour, every meal, every walk we have together this last week or so. It feels so good to daydream about our new baby and think about what our future holds as parents and as a family.
So here we go again! Another deployment, another pregnancy, and we honestly couldn’t be a single ounce more excited about what’s in store for our future. The deployment will end, and when it does we’ll have a beautiful new chapter as a family of four to begin. Ahhh. 🙂
Here’s a goofy first bump picture! I hit 10 weeks along on the cruise. Only virgin drinks for this girl!
Hi! I’m Erica, and I absolutely adore sharing my life on this website with you! I come here almost daily to blab about all of the things related to being a regular wife and mother in today’s ever-evolving society. I share about our new home, what’s on our kitchen table, what we’re hanging in our closets, where we’re traveling to next, my crazy 5 a.m. work outs, how I make time for girlfriends, our faith, and much more. We always have a lot of balls in the air and somewhat thrive on the chaos. I believe in the power of story-telling as a form of inspiration and entertainment, so I’m here to do both! I was born and raised in north Alabama and recently re-planted roots here again after my husband transitioned out of the Army (he is now in the Reserve and it’s going so well!) I’m a super proud mom to three little girls (ages 7, 4, and 1) who seem to be the stars of the show around here (for good reason – they’re pretty great!) I’m so glad you found me and are here reading! I hope we can get to know each other here on the blog as well as Facebook and/or Instagram. xoxo
