I have a few kitchen staples on hand that Jamie and I could not live without (a.k.a. gadgets that stay on our countertop at all times), and one of them is absolutely my Ninja blender. I received my first one nearly four years ago, and I’ve used it weekly (sometimes daily) for almost four years. Those who know me best know that I’m a huge Ninja fan!
Needless to say I about flew through the roof with excitement when Ninja offered me their newest product, the Nutri Ninja Auto-IQ with Smooth Boost Technology, to give a whirl (literally), and seeing it on my doorstep a few weeks ago made me giddy!
After several weeks of almost daily use, I can confidently say that I am completely smitten with our new gadget.
Though this blender and extractor (all in one!) can do much more than just make smoothies, anyone who knows me well can guess that smoothies were the first recipes I made with my new Ninja! I’ve made four or five different kinds already, all of which have come out perfectly thanks to the mindless timing feature that automatically starts and stops the blender to make sure everything gets mixed up and blended to the correct smoothie consistency.
I also used it last Tuesday morning to make a delicious spinach and feta egg casserole that I woke up craving! I saw the recipe in the little recipe book that came with the blender, and because the Ninja does all the work, prepping the casserole took less than 10 minutes.  Cooking scrambled eggs is the extent of any morning cooking I usually do during the week, but the Ninja made this one a cinch!

There are a couple major differences between my older, more basic blender and my newer one.
- The Nutri Ninja Auto-IQ comes with more than just the main blender, but also four other attachments to use depending on your specific kitchen needs.
- As aforementioned, my newer Ninja has settings that make using this gadget mindless. It features automatic settings that let users “set it and forget it”. My favorite smoothie setting takes 75 seconds, so I usually put all the ingredients in the Ninja, press start, and then use those 75 seconds to clean up. I used to have to stand there to start and stop the blender multiple times myself and guess when the consistency was what I wanted. Now I know it’s going to come out perfectly smooth! It’s the little things in life. đ
In a nutshell, I highly recommend this product if you’re in the market for a new blender or food processor. In the past I’ve used my Ninja to crush up baked goods for recipes and chop up vegetables, but this new one can do even more (such as mix up my pizza dough). Speaking of, I’m really looking forward to trying out my Ninja to help with my pizza recipe prep this weekend!

My recent smoothie obsession (I drank one of these for dinner tonight!):
- 8 oz of 60 calorie vanilla almond milk
- 4 oz water
- one scoop of chocolate powder of choice (right now I’m loving the leftover Shakeology my dad left for me)
- a dash of cinnamon
- one frozen banana
- handful of ice
Throw all of the above in the blender, blend for 75 seconds (automatic setting on the aforementioned Ninja), and then immensely enjoy! đ
Hi! I’m Erica, and I absolutely adore sharing my life on this website with you! I come here almost daily to blab about all of the things related to being a regular wife and mother in today’s ever-evolving society. I share about our new home, what’s on our kitchen table, what we’re hanging in our closets, where we’re traveling to next, my crazy 5 a.m. work outs, how I make time for girlfriends, our faith, and much more. We always have a lot of balls in the air and somewhat thrive on the chaos. I believe in the power of story-telling as a form of inspiration and entertainment, so I’m here to do both! I was born and raised in north Alabama and recently re-planted roots here again after my husband transitioned out of the Army (he is now in the Reserve and it’s going so well!) I’m a super proud mom to three little girls (ages 7, 4, and 1) who seem to be the stars of the show around here (for good reason – they’re pretty great!) I’m so glad you found me and are here reading! I hope we can get to know each other here on the blog as well as Facebook and/or Instagram. xoxo
