On Saturday we celebrated one of my very, very best friends Amberlee with a Sweet Dreams baby shower for her baby boy. She’s only a couple of months (at the most!) from meeting her son, Carter Lee, and everyone who loves Amberlee couldn’t be more excited for her to become a mom!
Sweet Dreams Baby Shower
We held the shower in our hometown in Alabama, and three of Amberlee’s long-time best friends all came together with me to throw it. Because Amberlee is known for her love of candy, we had a candy bar set up along with the cutest little party favors that our friend Holly hand-made! These little tea bags were a hit!
Instead of a regular guest book, we ordered one of Amberlee’s favorite childhood books and asked guests to write messages to Amberlee and Carter throughout the book.
On the coffee table we left pens and these forms to fill out where guests could make predictions about Carter’s arrival and fill in a few other fun blanks.
I found the punch recipe on Pinterest here, and though it was supposed to be more bright blue than green, it was still absolutely delicious!
Of course no shower is complete without a cake, and we really enjoyed this one that we got locally here in Huntsville from Peggy Ann Bakery. Her prices were extremely reasonable and the cake was delicious! If you’re local, I’d highly recommend her bakery!
Hi! I’m Erica, and I absolutely adore sharing my life on this website with you! I come here almost daily to blab about all of the things related to being a regular wife and mother in today’s ever-evolving society. I share about our new home, what’s on our kitchen table, what we’re hanging in our closets, where we’re traveling to next, my crazy 5 a.m. work outs, how I make time for girlfriends, our faith, and much more. We always have a lot of balls in the air and somewhat thrive on the chaos. I believe in the power of story-telling as a form of inspiration and entertainment, so I’m here to do both! I was born and raised in north Alabama and recently re-planted roots here again after my husband transitioned out of the Army (he is now in the Reserve and it’s going so well!) I’m a super proud mom to three little girls (ages 7, 4, and 1) who seem to be the stars of the show around here (for good reason – they’re pretty great!) I’m so glad you found me and are here reading! I hope we can get to know each other here on the blog as well as Facebook and/or Instagram. xoxo
