Though I’ve been story telling and oversharing on this silly blog for years, things really took a turn around here this year. I was anonymously nominated and selected for a BlogHer Voices of the Year Award and attended the biggest annual blogging conference in the world, which was hands down one of the most humbling, beneficial, exciting experiences of my adult life. I’ve built gratifying friendships with other bloggers and have been able to start contributing financially to my family. When I opened a blank document to type up my first blog post many years ago, I had no idea that the aforementioned perks were possible. I just wanted to write.
And so here I am. Still writing. 🙂 This is the very best “project” I’ve ever started. I immensely enjoy creating posts for this blog.
At times I’ve felt conflicted this year with which direction to take aspects of this ship, but at the end of the day I’m the most content and comfortable writing about topics that are natural to me. I’m just so thankful that so many of you are on the same page and are interested in the same things I am. This community of readers has enriched my life so much. I’ve very grateful for you.
I had so much fun going back through Google Analytics and tracking down the top 10 most viewed posts of 2015. Thank you for clicking, pinning, and sharing these posts. Again, I’m grateful!
Cheers to a year of growth in so many areas and being stretched way outside of my comfort zone in the best possible way. Really looking forward to what’s to come in 2016.

Hi! I’m Erica, and I absolutely adore sharing my life on this website with you! I come here almost daily to blab about all of the things related to being a regular wife and mother in today’s ever-evolving society. I share about our new home, what’s on our kitchen table, what we’re hanging in our closets, where we’re traveling to next, my crazy 5 a.m. work outs, how I make time for girlfriends, our faith, and much more. We always have a lot of balls in the air and somewhat thrive on the chaos. I believe in the power of story-telling as a form of inspiration and entertainment, so I’m here to do both! I was born and raised in north Alabama and recently re-planted roots here again after my husband transitioned out of the Army (he is now in the Reserve and it’s going so well!) I’m a super proud mom to three little girls (ages 7, 4, and 1) who seem to be the stars of the show around here (for good reason – they’re pretty great!) I’m so glad you found me and are here reading! I hope we can get to know each other here on the blog as well as Facebook and/or Instagram. xoxo
