17 Natural Highs

A few weeks ago I had the idea of writing a blog post like this that shares a few random details about who I am and some of the things that make my world go round. As I’ve been thinking of them or experiencing them I’ve been coming back to this post to jot them down.

BeachNaturalHighs
{a picture that makes me smile every single time I look at it}

Below is a list of 17 natural highs that never fail to put me in a really happy place. 🙂

  1. feeling Hadley hug me really tight around the neck and hearing her unique squeal as she squeezes tighter
  2. picking up Hadley from the church nursery or preschool and seeing her face light up when she sees me
  3. getting a surprise card in the mail from a friend or family member
  4. when my feet hit the driveway after successfully completing the goal amount of miles I wanted to run
  5. hearing a favorite song on the radio
  6. seeing out-of-town company pull into our driveway for a visit
  7. wearing new clothes for the first time
  8. waking up to rain and getting to enjoy it by not having anywhere to be
  9. sitting on the beach when it’s the perfect temperature
  10. having a mutual heart-to-heart conversation about Jesus and faith in general
  11. sleeping in my own bed after being away for any amount of time
  12. drinking wine with a group of girlfriends
  13. when Jamie does something completely out of the blue to fill my love tank
  14. seeing a Stitch Fix box on my front porch
  15. when my parents, siblings, and I are all together under the same roof, regardless of the occasion
  16. hanging something on the wall, walking away, and then turning around to see that it’s perfectly level
  17. crawling into bed after successfully hosting a fun event with a group of people at our home

Let’s chat!

Would you consider any of my natural highs also your natural highs?!

Erica

Hi! I’m Erica, and I absolutely adore sharing my life on this website with you! I come here almost daily to blab about all of the things related to being a regular wife and mother in today’s ever-evolving society. I share about our new home, what’s on our kitchen table, what we’re hanging in our closets, where we’re traveling to next, my crazy 5 a.m. work outs, how I make time for girlfriends, our faith, and much more. We always have a lot of balls in the air and somewhat thrive on the chaos. I believe in the power of story-telling as a form of inspiration and entertainment, so I’m here to do both! I was born and raised in north Alabama and recently re-planted roots here again after my husband transitioned out of the Army (he is now in the Reserve and it’s going so well!) I’m a super proud mom to three little girls (ages 7, 4, and 1) who seem to be the stars of the show around here (for good reason – they’re pretty great!) I’m so glad you found me and are here reading! I hope we can get to know each other here on the blog as well as Facebook and/or Instagram. xoxo

I’m a super proud mom to three little girls (ages 7, 5, and 1) who seem to be the stars of the show around here (for good reason – they’re pretty great!)
