Call me crazy, but I always get giddy about selecting Hadley’s winter coat each year. This Alabama girl has learned that in Kansas you can’t skimp on proper outerwear. This will be our third winter living in this part of the country, so I know that whatever coats my girls have, they’ll be wearing every single day for five-ish months.
I not only want their coats to be warm, cozy, and comfortable, but I want them to be super easy to wash (since infant and toddler messes are inevitable and frequent). I also don’t think it’s asking too much for the coats to be cute. 🙂 Oh, and can my two girls please match?! I’m all over that!
I wanted to scoop up their coats early this year since cool temperatures are right around the corner, and with the aforementioned list of requirements, I had my work cut out for me.
Our shopping options in our small town are slim to none (especially for children), so I headed to one of my long-time favorite baby/toddler/children’s websites, Diapers.com, to do some browsing. It didn’t take me long to find the perfect pair, and two days later these beauties were on my doorstep and then immediately right on the girls.

Here’s a round-up of some of my favorites that caught my eye, if you’re interested.

When I was shopping for the girls’ coats, I also noticed that they carry dance wear, something that has only recently come under my radar as Hadley’s gotten bigger. She only had her one little outfit that we splurged on, so I was happy to see such inexpensive options on this website. I grabbed her a long-sleeve simple black outfit to wear over her pink tights, and I think she looked pretty darn cute last night at class.
Parents of littles, have you ever shopped on Diapers.com? Our first purchase from this site was nearly two years ago when they had the convertible car seat we wanted for Hadley deeply discounted, and I’ve been shopping there ever since. I’ve always loved that they carry super inexpensive items as well as many designer/upscale options that are all hand-picked by experts and labeled as the best of the best. In addition to the car seat, we’ve purchased shoes, toys, various baby gear, and a couple maternity pieces all from this site in the last couple of years, and I’ve never once been disappointed.

Have you ever shopped on Diapers.com? What items did you purchase and love?
Hi! I’m Erica, and I absolutely adore sharing my life on this website with you! I come here almost daily to blab about all of the things related to being a regular wife and mother in today’s ever-evolving society. I share about our new home, what’s on our kitchen table, what we’re hanging in our closets, where we’re traveling to next, my crazy 5 a.m. work outs, how I make time for girlfriends, our faith, and much more. We always have a lot of balls in the air and somewhat thrive on the chaos. I believe in the power of story-telling as a form of inspiration and entertainment, so I’m here to do both! I was born and raised in north Alabama and recently re-planted roots here again after my husband transitioned out of the Army (he is now in the Reserve and it’s going so well!) I’m a super proud mom to three little girls (ages 7, 4, and 1) who seem to be the stars of the show around here (for good reason – they’re pretty great!) I’m so glad you found me and are here reading! I hope we can get to know each other here on the blog as well as Facebook and/or Instagram. xoxo
