Freshly Picked: The Shoes My Girls Are Growing Up In

freshlypicked2

Our daughters are quite literally growing up in Freshly Picked shoes, the children’s shoe brand that we’ve used and loved for years. Hadley (pictured below) received her first pair when she was six months old, and we’ve been sold out to this fantastic company ever since. I still remember how excited I was for Hadley to try on her first pair of soft-soled mocs (size 3).

{We couldn’t wait to try them on her, even though she wouldn’t start really wearing them for a few more months when the temperature cooled down.}

She took her very first steps in these shoes at 10.5 months, sported them with her first Halloween costume at 11 months, and continued to wear them until she just couldn’t wear them anymore.

We then got her another pair the following fall (size five) that she again wore for months. These soft-soled shoes were so perfect at this age (right around two years old) for all of our indoor outings. Their superior durability, their ease to take on and off, and their ability to fit for months (magically longer than other shoes) makes them well worth the price tag in our opinion.

Not surprisingly, Sadie’s first pair of “every day” shoes were a pair of Freshly Picked, size 1. 🙂

Though we’ll have Sadie’s feet covered for a couple years in Freshly Picked’s original soft-soled shoes, nearly three-year-old Hadley has outgrown this option. She’s moved on up to their newer hard sole option – the “Next Step” shoe –  and I’m in love.

These precious shoes arrived with a shoe horn because they’re a bit stiff at first, but after just a couple of wears they’ve become super easy to slip on and off her feet. The most important part is that Hadley cites them as comfortable!

They’re practical, durable, comfortable, and just so stinkin’ cute.

Hadley usually only has two pairs (maybe three max) of shoes that we rotate through each season, so I like to buy shoes that I know will last despite how rough I know she’ll inevitably be on them. Freshly Picked shoes meet every criteria I have for my girls’ shoes, and for this reason we’ll continue being costumers for years to come. Thank goodness these hard-soled shoes are sold in sizes as big as a child’s 13!

Now I just need Freshly Picked to start cranking these shoes out in a woman’s size 8 so that I can replicate Hadley’s outfit.  I basically want to be just like my two year old. 🙂

Not only are we loyal to this company for our kids’ shoes, but I’ve also ordered pairs for friends expecting new babies! The newborn mocs are a little cheaper, and a handful of my girlfriends said that their tiny babies were able to wear them for several months.

If you’re in the market for some new shoes for your babe(s) this fall/winter or holiday gifts for your friends and loved ones, take a peek at Freshly Picked’s site. We truly love them.

Big thanks to Freshly Picked for sponsoring this post, a brand we love and will continue using for our children’s needs for years to come.

Freshly Picked Review: I won a giveaway for my daughter's first pair when she was seven months old, and we are been true blue Freshly Picked customers ever since. Now my daughter is almost three, and she's wearing the hard sole version. There are so many reasons we love Freshly Picked and will continue putting...

Erica

Hi! I’m Erica, and I absolutely adore sharing my life on this website with you! I come here almost daily to blab about all of the things related to being a regular wife and mother in today’s ever-evolving society. I share about our new home, what’s on our kitchen table, what we’re hanging in our closets, where we’re traveling to next, my crazy 5 a.m. work outs, how I make time for girlfriends, our faith, and much more. We always have a lot of balls in the air and somewhat thrive on the chaos. I believe in the power of story-telling as a form of inspiration and entertainment, so I’m here to do both! I was born and raised in north Alabama and recently re-planted roots here again after my husband transitioned out of the Army (he is now in the Reserve and it’s going so well!) I’m a super proud mom to three little girls (ages 7, 4, and 1) who seem to be the stars of the show around here (for good reason – they’re pretty great!) I’m so glad you found me and are here reading! I hope we can get to know each other here on the blog as well as Facebook and/or Instagram. xoxo
