This post contains four great ideas for homemade valentines for babies and toddlers. We started making these homemade valentines years ago, and it’s continued to be the sweetest tradition. These crafts are all easy to make and easily personalized and changed depending on what you’re going for. Enjoy!
I’m a big fan of traditions that happen by accident, and making homemade Valentine’s Day cards for our families is one of my tip top favorites!
Hadley was 2.5 months old on her first Valentine’s Day back in 2014, and I thought it would be fun to make little cards from our baby to slip in the mail for her grandparents, aunt, uncles, and great-grandparents. We also crafted a small gift for her first Valentine, her daddy.
I honestly didn’t think anything of these messy little cards, but it warmed my heart big time to get the sweetest texts from our surprised family members after they’d found them in their mailboxes on Valentine’s Day.
So we did it again the next year. And the next. And now Valentine’s Day is quickly approaching again, so of course we’re gearing up to make them again, except this time we also get to add Sadie to the fun. 🙂
Homemade Valentines for Babies and Toddlers
I just wanted to share with you a few of the cards we’ve made in the past in case you’d like to make your own with your kiddos and need some ideas. I usually browse Pinterest and put a few different ideas together to make the final product. They’re usually a little sloppy and not quite as “Pinterest worthy” as others that you may find, but they’re made with a ton of love in hope that they bring the biggest smiles.

PS: 5 Things We Do With Our Kids’ Artwork and Schoolwork
Hi! I’m Erica, and I absolutely adore sharing my life on this website with you! I come here almost daily to blab about all of the things related to being a regular wife and mother in today’s ever-evolving society. I share about our new home, what’s on our kitchen table, what we’re hanging in our closets, where we’re traveling to next, my crazy 5 a.m. work outs, how I make time for girlfriends, our faith, and much more. We always have a lot of balls in the air and somewhat thrive on the chaos. I believe in the power of story-telling as a form of inspiration and entertainment, so I’m here to do both! I was born and raised in north Alabama and recently re-planted roots here again after my husband transitioned out of the Army (he is now in the Reserve and it’s going so well!) I’m a super proud mom to three little girls (ages 7, 4, and 1) who seem to be the stars of the show around here (for good reason – they’re pretty great!) I’m so glad you found me and are here reading! I hope we can get to know each other here on the blog as well as Facebook and/or Instagram. xoxo
