Happy Saturday, friends! I hope this post finds you well and that you’re enjoying your weekend. My amazing mom is in town visiting, and we are soaking up and thoroughly enjoying every second of her company.
Today I’m so glad to share with you the second blogger in this series that I actually know personally (the first being Sarah)! Kristin and I both went to the same church and college and have remained in touch via social media ever since. 🙂 She recently moved to my hometown (where her husband is originally from), so I’m sure our paths will cross in person sooner than later. She is seriously beautiful inside and out, and I was excited when she reached out to be a part of this series. Her blog and her words are a blessing and so relatable. You’ll enjoy her! Meet my friend, Kristin. 🙂
Q: Introduce yourself in three sentences or less.
A: Hi, I’m Kristin! My husband and I moved from San Francisco to Huntsville, AL two years ago to start a church in downtown. We have two beautiful girls, Sophia and Selah. I’m so blessed to get to stay home with them, have playdates with other mom friends, and help serve our friends and church.
Q: When did you start blogging, and what do you enjoy writing about?
A: I started blogging about two and a half years ago. My favorite thing is to write about embracing who we are and how God uniquely made each of us.
Q: Who do you think would really enjoy your content?
A: Women who feel something might be missing from their life or who are searching for deeper meaning within their daily life
Q: I know your family recently planted a brand new church! I’m sure this is a loaded question, but what was that experience like?
A: We moved from San Francisco where we helped start a church and worked on staff, and I assumed when first starting this church that I already knew everything I needed and that it would be super easy for me. Unfortunately and fortunately, God cannot use us when we are full of pride. Starting this church was completely different than our first church. It was much harder. More emotional. And this time we were the lead pastor and pastor wife. There was much more weight, sacrifice, and investment this time.
Q: What are the highlights of servings alongside your husband in the church?
A: It’s such an honor to live life so closely with people. We get to be with people on the best days and the worst days of their life. It gets very difficult at times, but in those hard times and circumstances, that’s when we see God work in very miraculous and unique ways.
Q: I know you’re writing a book! What is it about, when will it be available for purchase, etc.?
Yes! I’m very excited about it. It’s called Never Enough. It’s about the things we as women look to for value, satisfaction and self-worth. I share several personal stories of how I have looked to the wrong things to bring me value, and how I felt lost when they were removed or taken away. I think looking for things to make us feel important is something all women struggle with. This book is about how we can stop finding our value in these temporary things and find true joy in Jesus.
Q: Tell us about your beautiful girls! How old are they, what are they’re favorite activities, etc.?
A: Our girls are so fun, and couldn’t be more different! They are three and five. The look different, talk different, and have completely different gifts and skills. They also complement each other in the best ways. One girl is naturally nervous, and the other jumps right in and encourages her sister to come too. They both take dance and love it! If you listen to your teacher at dance, you get a stamp on your hand. If you are a fantastic listener, you get a stamp on both hands. They have been in dance for a year, and week after week, one girl comes out of dance with a stamp on both hands and the other comes out with no stamp. They are best friends, and I love how they are going to balance each other out in life.
Q: What are some of your favorite ways to spend your free time?
A: I love to run, hike, read a great book, or write.
Q: If you could have an entire day to yourself, how would you spend it?
A: Assuming it were summer, I would lay by the pool reading a great book all day.

And just for fun…
- Apples or peaches? I prefer peaches but they take much more work to eat, so I usually just eat apples.
- Theme park or water park? I love a good roller coaster, but I can’t spend the entire day riding them like when I was younger. I do love an entire day at the water park, though!
- Carpet or hardwood? Hardwood
- Amazon or Ebay? Amazon Prime all the way.

Hi! I’m Erica, and I absolutely adore sharing my life on this website with you! I come here almost daily to blab about all of the things related to being a regular wife and mother in today’s ever-evolving society. I share about our new home, what’s on our kitchen table, what we’re hanging in our closets, where we’re traveling to next, my crazy 5 a.m. work outs, how I make time for girlfriends, our faith, and much more. We always have a lot of balls in the air and somewhat thrive on the chaos. I believe in the power of story-telling as a form of inspiration and entertainment, so I’m here to do both! I was born and raised in north Alabama and recently re-planted roots here again after my husband transitioned out of the Army (he is now in the Reserve and it’s going so well!) I’m a super proud mom to three little girls (ages 7, 4, and 1) who seem to be the stars of the show around here (for good reason – they’re pretty great!) I’m so glad you found me and are here reading! I hope we can get to know each other here on the blog as well as Facebook and/or Instagram. xoxo
