Hi! How was your weekend? It was rainy, cold (in the 40s), and super windy here in Kansas, and while we had a few things on the calendar that we ran around to do, we spent the majority of our weekend hunkered down at home piddling around. No complaining here!
Today’s post is inspired by my blogging friend Jenn who recently did this “Three Things” survey. I thought it was a fun way to get to know her a little better, so I decided to play along. I always enjoy mixing in lighthearted content like this every now and then. 🙂
Three things I’d never give up
Coloring my hair (I unfortunately don’t love my natural mousey-brown color on me!), my heart for spontaneity, ice cream
Three favorite vegetables
green beans, red pepper, and steamed broccoli
Three shows I watched faithfully from beginning to end
Full House, Saved by the Bell, and The Bachelor/ette (I’ve mentioned a zillion times that I’m so lame when it comes to shows. I don’t watch many!)
Three places I want to visit inside the US
Hawaii, Seattle, Napa
Three places I want to visit outside the US
London, the French Polynesian, and Germany (to see my sister and her family)
Three things I always have with me
iPhone, military ID, diapers
Three things that are always in my car
half-finished water bottles, my kids’ junk, and a stroller
Three most recent calls were from/to:
My mom, my sister, and my friend Amberlee
Three most often used makeup products
(in medium neutral), , and (in a 01-light color)
Three things that make me laugh
conversations with Hadley, watching Hadley and Sadie belly-laugh in their tent, watching Gabriel Iglesias with Jamie
Three things that make me cry
saying goodbye to family after a wonderful visit, certain baptisms at church, and most recently the last episode of 13 Reasons Why (<—I know it was fictional, but knowing that people go through the kind of pain that Hannah felt in her final moments + seeing her mom’s reaction was the most gut-wrenching thing I have seen, especially as a mom. It shook me so hard that this continues to be a reality for so many people. I sobbed for a while.)
Welp, that ended on a depressing note. 😉 Blogging friends, feel free to play along in your own posts!
Let’s chat!
How are we alike??
Linking up with Biana. 🙂
Hi! I’m Erica, and I absolutely adore sharing my life on this website with you! I come here almost daily to blab about all of the things related to being a regular wife and mother in today’s ever-evolving society. I share about our new home, what’s on our kitchen table, what we’re hanging in our closets, where we’re traveling to next, my crazy 5 a.m. work outs, how I make time for girlfriends, our faith, and much more. We always have a lot of balls in the air and somewhat thrive on the chaos. I believe in the power of story-telling as a form of inspiration and entertainment, so I’m here to do both! I was born and raised in north Alabama and recently re-planted roots here again after my husband transitioned out of the Army (he is now in the Reserve and it’s going so well!) I’m a super proud mom to three little girls (ages 7, 4, and 1) who seem to be the stars of the show around here (for good reason – they’re pretty great!) I’m so glad you found me and are here reading! I hope we can get to know each other here on the blog as well as Facebook and/or Instagram. xoxo
