This Pepper Jelly Cream Cheese Dip requires two ingredients and two steps. Delicious! This simple and sweet dip is the perfect appetizer not only for the holiday season, but year round to serve for family and friends. Serve it on a plate with Wheat Thins or Ritz Crackers, and you’ll be sure to please the tastebuds of your whole crowd.
Happy happy Friday! What do you have going on this weekend? Jamie has a MUCH-deserved four-day weekend coming up, so we’re planning on knocking out our kitchen cabinets once and for all! We estimate that what’s left will take us three full days since we’ll have the girls around, but I’m hoping by Wednesday morning we’ll be waking up to a kitchen that is fully put back together, clean, and WHITE. Wish us luck!
If you’re doing any entertaining this weekend, I have just the appetizer for you to serve. 🙂 Even though I’ve shared a couple dozen recipes on this blog, it’s worth noting that I actually get pretty darn nervous when I do so! I’ve tried a handful of recipes from Pinterest that were total flops simply because the recipe wasn’t written correctly, they left out an ingredient, etc., and we all can agree how frustrating that is.
I’ll never forget the time about a year ago that I had two cartons of blueberries to use, so I doubled a blueberry muffin recipe I found on Pinterest. I ended up throwing away 24 muffins (that I’d made for our company!) because the recipe left out the baking powder; The author had included it in her ingredient list but failed to include it in the steps of the recipe.
That was a handful of money and time down the drain, so ever since then I’ve been super careful to only share recipes with you that I’ve tried a bunch of times and have made the same way with the exact same ingredients each time. I want you to love whatever you make from my site and that you’ll want to share it too!
PS: Once I perfected my blueberry mojito recipe I share a couple weeks ago, I made about five more over the next few days just to make sure it was right on the money before sharing it with you guys! Lemme tell ya – it was a real burden making them over and over again. 😉
Pepper Jelly Cream Cheese
This summer we’ve been going crazy over a pepper jelly cream cheese dip. My relatives in Omaha set out this dip for everyone to snack on during our visit back in May, and Jamie and I both loved it. We’ve continued to make it all summer, though I say “make” loosely because it’s more like “open cream cheese bar, dump jelly, serve with crackers.”
We’ve brought this pepper jelly cream cheese along to dinner with friends, I’ve served it numerous times for mamas during playdates at our home (they don’t even know I’m “preparing” anything because it’s so quick!), as well as kept it around to nibble on ourselves as a snack. It’s sweet, savory, and mildly filling.
We buy the Braswell brand of red pepper jelly for about $3.99 at our local Hy-Vee grocery store. It can be found with all the other sandwich jellies. 🙂 As far as chips go, we prefer any kind that are a little thicker and won’t snap as easily. (We preferred Townhouse Pita Chips!)
Pepper Jelly Cream Cheese Recipe
Preparing this actually takes 30 seconds. Maybe 25. 🙂
- Place 8 oz. cream cheese bar on platter.
- Dump half of 10.5 oz. jar of pepper jelly on top.
- Serve with crackers.
Enjoy!
Hi! I’m Erica, and I absolutely adore sharing my life on this website with you! I come here almost daily to blab about all of the things related to being a regular wife and mother in today’s ever-evolving society. I share about our new home, what’s on our kitchen table, what we’re hanging in our closets, where we’re traveling to next, my crazy 5 a.m. work outs, how I make time for girlfriends, our faith, and much more. We always have a lot of balls in the air and somewhat thrive on the chaos. I believe in the power of story-telling as a form of inspiration and entertainment, so I’m here to do both! I was born and raised in north Alabama and recently re-planted roots here again after my husband transitioned out of the Army (he is now in the Reserve and it’s going so well!) I’m a super proud mom to three little girls (ages 7, 4, and 1) who seem to be the stars of the show around here (for good reason – they’re pretty great!) I’m so glad you found me and are here reading! I hope we can get to know each other here on the blog as well as Facebook and/or Instagram. xoxo
