Helloooo Tuesday!
I was hoping to get this post up this morning as usual, but instead of working last night after the girls went to bed, I ended up trying to comfort and soothe Sadie constantly until about 12:30 a.m. She’s been sick for a few days and can’t seem to kick it. Hadley has now caught what Sadie has, so she was all out of sorts last night too. On top of it, Jamie is out in the field this week (which is why I saved my “work” time for last night), so we’re just taking it hour by hour around here!
Anyway! They’re taking it easy eating snacks, watching TV, and quietly playing with toys this morning, so I’m happy to be relaxing as well and writing away.
Today I want to chat with you about some follow-up thoughts regarding some (not all) of the brands I worked with in some capacity last year. I mention frequently that I only work with brands that I truly like and would recommend without being paid, but sometimes my opinion changes over time.
So today I’ll be briefly revisiting old sponsored posts and sharing my updated thoughts.
PIXERS – I worked with this company to create wall art for over our living room couch, and I still adore it. A year later, I still think so fondly about my experience working with this company. Browsing through their selection of wall art was so fun! I haven’t ordered from them again simply because I haven’t needed to purchase any wall art, but I absolutely wouldn’t hesitate to! Highly recommend this brand and their products.
DAFNI – I haven’t used this hair straightening brush in at least six months. In defense of this brush though, I really don’t straighten my hair anymore (I barrel-wrap six out of seven days a week.) I still have it in a prime spot in my bathroom drawer, but I haven’t had the desire to use it in a while.
RockABye – Love love love this rocker. You may remember that I gifted my friend’s son one as well. He loves it too. Both of my girls have enjoyed “rides” on their princess carriage rocker constantly for a year. These rockers make incredible gifts!
Uncommon Goods – I haven’t ordered from this company in a while because I primarily shop on Amazon, but there’s no denying this company offers exceptional and unique gift ideas.
Ears of Experience Travel Agency – If you are going to Disney World/Land/cruise, please please please get in touch with Alicia. She planned our entire Disney trip and made it effortless for us. Since I wrote this post about her, she’s booked trips for at least six or seven Whimsical September readers and their families. If you are thinking about Disney in the next year or so, send Alicia an email. She’ll give you resort options right away and show you how fabulous and easy your trip will be. Plus, it’s free!
SwimWays – This float wasn’t allowed at our local pool, so we didn’t end up using it. I do think it’s an awesome baby float though and would recommend it for infants this upcoming summer!
ESPRO – I hate to say this, but we’ve reversed back to using Shout. I really liked ESPRO for a while and thought it did a great job on stains, but I found that I had to do more “prep work”, scrubbing, etc before throwing it in the wash in order to get the stains out with ESPRO. With Shout, I just spray it, let it set for a minute or so, and throw it in.
Sugar Dumplin – I wouldn’t hesitate to order from this company again and again. My girls wore their outfits from Sugar Dumplin over and over again this summer and received lots of compliments.
Allie Logan Designs – My friend from college owns this invitation company, and I was so pleased with the quality of the invitations that she did for my friend’s baby shower this summer. Her design was adorable, her work was fast, and the actual invitation itself was quality. If you need invitations of any kind, here’s your source!
Aeroflow Breastpump – What a great service! I have continued to tell people about Aeroflow online and offline ever since first learning about them. If you need to get your breastpump, fill out their form and they’ll get it taken care of for you via your insurance company. Easy!
Smithfield – We buy a Smithfield marinated pork tenderloin at least once a month, but usually twice. Easy, healthy, and delicious. I can’t imagine why everybody wouldn’t buy these regularly to keep on hand for an easy weeknight meal.
No Yolk – I 1000% prefer No Yolk noodles to regular pasta. I think they taste so much better, and they cook in half the time! We usually have a bag of No Yolk noodles in our pantry ready to go if the girls want pasta.
By the way, thanks for giving these sponsored posts a read last year! I work really (!!) hard to gain your trust in what I’m recommending by being quite selective with the brands I work with and products that I suggest. I hope you heard about a new product or brand and found something you liked thanks to a sponsored post last year. <3

Hi! I’m Erica, and I absolutely adore sharing my life on this website with you! I come here almost daily to blab about all of the things related to being a regular wife and mother in today’s ever-evolving society. I share about our new home, what’s on our kitchen table, what we’re hanging in our closets, where we’re traveling to next, my crazy 5 a.m. work outs, how I make time for girlfriends, our faith, and much more. We always have a lot of balls in the air and somewhat thrive on the chaos. I believe in the power of story-telling as a form of inspiration and entertainment, so I’m here to do both! I was born and raised in north Alabama and recently re-planted roots here again after my husband transitioned out of the Army (he is now in the Reserve and it’s going so well!) I’m a super proud mom to three little girls (ages 7, 4, and 1) who seem to be the stars of the show around here (for good reason – they’re pretty great!) I’m so glad you found me and are here reading! I hope we can get to know each other here on the blog as well as Facebook and/or Instagram. xoxo
