Two Beauty Products That Live in My Car

I was driving around a couple of weeks ago, dabbing on some concealer at a red light and then swiping on some matte lip color once I arrived at my destination, and I thought about how darn handy it’s continued to be having a couple of specific make-up items permanently housed in my car.

Do you keep any make-up in your car? I’ve never been one to do my daily make-up on the go, but somehow a concealer and a lip color have ended up living in my car and have earned their spots to always stay!

For my concealer on the go, I use Merle Norman’s award-winning Dual Action Concealer in the Medium Light Neutral shade. The concealer in my make-up bag in my bathroom is actually different (I’m obsessed with the It! Cosmetics Bye Bye Under Eye), but for an on-the-go concealer, this Merle Norman one is fantastic. Whether it’s 10 degrees or 90 degrees, it seems unaffected by sitting in my car (something that can’t be said about most make-up products that need to “live” in room temperature).

The wand also makes it mess-free, which is why I prefer this specific concealer for my car. It lasts forever because just a little bit goes a long way. I typically don’t wear much make-up during the week since I live in casual clothes, but having concealer on hand to cover up pesky pop-up blemishes is continually a life saver.

Unfortunately, Merle Norman doesn’t sell their products online, but if you have a store nearby, I’d suggest running in there and trying it out! If you want a wand concealer for your car, here are a load of them you can pick from and buy from Amazon.

For my lip color on the go, I couldn’t live without Maybelline’s Vivid Matte Liquid in a shade 10 Nude Flush. I actually got it a couple of years ago during a brief period where I played around with receiving those Influenster products, and I’ve been hooked on it since the first time I swiped it on. Considering I use a little bit of it almost every day, it’s lasted for so long.

Something I love about this product is that it doesn’t get on my teeth! I don’t know what it is, but 90% of my lipsticks and glosses get on my teeth. This one never does; Magic!

Unless I have a more vibrant lip I’ve already put on, rarely will I get out of the car without swiping on just a little bit of this Maybelline product first. It’s subtle enough that it doesn’t look like you’re trying, but it’s pretty enough that it makes you look just a teeny bit more put together. I like to think that even just one quick application of it before I pop out of the car to run into the grocery store pulls me together just a hair. Plus, it’s less than $7 on Amazon!

Let’s chat!

Do you keep any beauty products in your car for touch-up purposes?

Erica

Hi! I’m Erica, and I absolutely adore sharing my life on this website with you! I come here almost daily to blab about all of the things related to being a regular wife and mother in today’s ever-evolving society. I share about our new home, what’s on our kitchen table, what we’re hanging in our closets, where we’re traveling to next, my crazy 5 a.m. work outs, how I make time for girlfriends, our faith, and much more. We always have a lot of balls in the air and somewhat thrive on the chaos. I believe in the power of story-telling as a form of inspiration and entertainment, so I’m here to do both! I was born and raised in north Alabama and recently re-planted roots here again after my husband transitioned out of the Army (he is now in the Reserve and it’s going so well!) I’m a super proud mom to three little girls (ages 7, 4, and 1) who seem to be the stars of the show around here (for good reason – they’re pretty great!) I’m so glad you found me and are here reading! I hope we can get to know each other here on the blog as well as Facebook and/or Instagram. xoxo
