Good morning from Birmingham! Writing that feels like deja vu because I believe I started a “Saturday Sit-Down” like that once before. We flew down to Birmingham last August for a wedding, and this morning we’re waking up in the home of the friends who we came down last time to see get married. 🙂 We love this city (it’s home to Jamie!) and enjoy exploring it (especially considering how rapidly it’s changing and growing), so we’re anticipating a fun day with friends capped tonight with the wedding we’re attending.
This week’s featured blogger is my first teen! Coming up with her questions was so easy because I was genuinely curious about how blogging fits into her life as a teen. Oh, and she’s from England! Like I mentioned last week, I always get excited when this series reaches outside of my little bubble here in the U.S. Meet Larayeeb!
Q: Hey girl! Please introduce yourself in three sentence or less.
A: Hiya! I feel so honored to be on your blog! I’m Larayeeb and I’m 17. I’m from a county in London called Essex. I’m obsessed with photography & F.R.I.E.N.D.S
Q: When did you start your blog? What was your motivation to do so?
A: I started my blog in the early summer of 2016, but I had no motivation. I just made it in a moment of boredom.
Q: What topics do you most enjoy writing about?
A: I love writing about anything and everything.
Q: I believe you’re my first teen blogger! How popular is the whole “blogging” thing for teenagers? Do a lot of teens read and/or write blogs?
A: YES. Nearly over half of my bloggers friends are teenagers. My favourites are Beth & Connor.
Q: What is your favorite social media platform and why?
A: I think Twitter is my favourite as you can interact with others in many ways.
Q: Tell me about living in England? What city do you live in?
A: I live in the capital which is London, and living here is quite cool. The only thing I don’t like is the weather but now I’m used to that so that doesn’t matter anymore. Other than that, it’s great.
Q: What do you love about where you live?
A: That’s a hard one to answer because I love everything, but it’s a little bit different because I’m getting a bit bored of London.
Q: What are you plans once you graduate high school?
A: Funny you ask, I graduated from high school last year in June, now I’m in college doing a hair and beauty, but it’s 1000% not for me. In September I’ll be hopefully changing over to a digital media course where you learn all about editing photos.
Q: Where should new readers start on your site?
And just for fun…
- Dogs or cats? I don’t like animals except rabbits, sharks, fishes and horses.
- Work on a group project or write a paper? I don’t mind either
- Blog in the morning or at night? Both the other night I wrote up 2 post and slept at 4am
- Cheesecake or apple pie? Non i don’t have much of a sweet tooth but i do love chocolate.

Thank you so much, Larayeeb!

Hi! I’m Erica, and I absolutely adore sharing my life on this website with you! I come here almost daily to blab about all of the things related to being a regular wife and mother in today’s ever-evolving society. I share about our new home, what’s on our kitchen table, what we’re hanging in our closets, where we’re traveling to next, my crazy 5 a.m. work outs, how I make time for girlfriends, our faith, and much more. We always have a lot of balls in the air and somewhat thrive on the chaos. I believe in the power of story-telling as a form of inspiration and entertainment, so I’m here to do both! I was born and raised in north Alabama and recently re-planted roots here again after my husband transitioned out of the Army (he is now in the Reserve and it’s going so well!) I’m a super proud mom to three little girls (ages 7, 4, and 1) who seem to be the stars of the show around here (for good reason – they’re pretty great!) I’m so glad you found me and are here reading! I hope we can get to know each other here on the blog as well as Facebook and/or Instagram. xoxo
