This post is sponsored by Stitch Fix, a personal styling service I have used and loved for years.
25 fixes later, and it’s safe to say that at least a solid quarter of my closet (honestly maybe closer to 50%) is filled from clothes from Stitch Fix. Pants, shorts, jackets, short dresses, long dresses, sweaters, tanks, maternity clothes, nursing-friendly tops, statement pieces, loads of basics: it’s all shown up piece by piece on my front porch in a little cardboard box taped shut with their signature mint logo packing tape.
I was as giddy on Wednesday to see my monthly fix that was left on the front porch as I was back in December 2015 when I gave this service a whirl for the very first time.
Four reasons I currently love Stitch Fix:
-My wardrobe stays constantly updated without any work on my part. The stylists keep up with the latest trends and then send me fun new pieces accordingly.
-My stylists send me pieces I would have never (ever) picked up off the rack myself. At least half of the pieces I’ve kept over the years were pieces I had to force myself to try on, thinking that I wasn’t going to like it. I should know by now that I’m often wrong!
-The clothes never shrink or change shape. 3.5 years later, and I still wear the pair of jeans I kept from my first fix. I trust the clothing brands that Stitch Fix selects from. Stitch Fix has a reputation to protect, so they do not want to send you clothes that won’t last for a long time.
-I very rarely have to run around searching for something to wear to fun outings because the odds are high that I probably received something I love in a recent fix.
Letting Stitch Fix help with packing for summer travels
Speaking of having something to wear for fun outings, this was especially applicable last month when I traveled to Turks and Caicos! Stitch Fix was a lifesaver – holy moly.
I wanted a few new fun things to wear during my trip, but after one morning spent in and out of dressing rooms with my kids, I called it quits on shopping for clothes. Not a fun experience. I was short on time and didn’t have a single free evening to run out by myself once Jamie was home, so I was “stuck” picking clothes that I already had. Not a big deal at all since I have more than enough clothes to pick from, but I’d be lying if I said I didn’t squeal when I opened my May Stitch Fix box the day before I left.
I actually ended up keeping the whole box (did you see the review of the box in this post here?), and wore the maxi dress on the flight on the way down.
I wore the jean shorts I received in my box + this top that I got in a fix two years ago while we all got ready for the wedding.
And I wore a top from my February fix on our last day on the island.
Are you heading out on vacation this summer? If so, schedule a fix!! You can either request certain styles (i.e. dresses, tops, shorts, etc.) or you can leave the suggestion box blank and be totally surprised like I always am when I rip open my box. 🙂
Let’s get to my June fix, shall we?
Stitch Fix Review: June 2018
LOVEAPPELLA Earnest Knit Swing Tank
FUN2FUN Lillian V-Neck Blouse
VERSE Avia Dress
There’s always one item in every box that shocks the heck out of me. This one was it this month! I loved the print when I first saw it, but immediately assumed that it was too “young” for this 30 year old mom. I also assumed the style of it (spaghetti straps and somewhat short) wouldn’t be a practical choice anymore.
I tried it on anyway since I have a firm “must try everything on” policy, and WHUDDAYAKNOW? Loved it. Fits so super well, is comfortable, longer than I thought it would be, is lined (!!), and is just so stinkin’ fun and different (way different) than anything I have in my closet. No questions asked: This is a keeper.

- You’ll be charged $20 when your box ships.
- Pick what you want to keep from your box, and then put everything else back in the prepaid USPS bag.

What is Stitch Fix?
Stitch Fix is a stop-anytime apparel personal styling service that sends customers five pieces of clothing and accessories once a month (or more or less depending on one’s preferences) based on price points that one designates in his or her profile. Stitch Fix stylists hand-pick what to send each customer based on one’s online profile created upon sign up. Customers are charged a $20 styling fee upfront per shipment, but the styling fee is later applied to any item(s) the customers chooses to keep. If one chooses to send back all five items, Stitch Fix keeps the $20 fee. A customer’s best bet is to keep at least one item since $20 has already been paid. Stitch Fix also includes a prepaid bag to send all unwanted items back. If a customer chooses to keep all five items, he or she gets a whopping 25% discount off of the entire box. So awesome!
Psst…
Stitch Fix offers services for men! We gave this a try for Jamie back in November when his box was free, and we liked it! He kept two items. He got his second box in January and has worn the polo he kept so many times already! My brother also tried it, and he said it’s really boosted his confidence. He plans to receive one box per month to slowly increase his professional attire (he is single and hates to shop, so this is beyond perfect for him). Jamie plans to continue getting fixes once per month in hopes of adding one (maybe two) items per month to his professional wardrobe. This service for men is so underrated! It’s really awesome.

I promise seeing that box show up on your doorstep is so oddly exciting! Enjoy!
Hi! I’m Erica, and I absolutely adore sharing my life on this website with you! I come here almost daily to blab about all of the things related to being a regular wife and mother in today’s ever-evolving society. I share about our new home, what’s on our kitchen table, what we’re hanging in our closets, where we’re traveling to next, my crazy 5 a.m. work outs, how I make time for girlfriends, our faith, and much more. We always have a lot of balls in the air and somewhat thrive on the chaos. I believe in the power of story-telling as a form of inspiration and entertainment, so I’m here to do both! I was born and raised in north Alabama and recently re-planted roots here again after my husband transitioned out of the Army (he is now in the Reserve and it’s going so well!) I’m a super proud mom to three little girls (ages 7, 4, and 1) who seem to be the stars of the show around here (for good reason – they’re pretty great!) I’m so glad you found me and are here reading! I hope we can get to know each other here on the blog as well as Facebook and/or Instagram. xoxo
