I’d have to look back, but I think it might be close to a year since the last time I shared about receiving a Subscribe and Save shipment. We took a short break from receiving shipments around the time we moved this past spring, but we picked back up in May and have been rockin’ and rollin’ ever since!
The biggest reason I started receiving Subscribe and Save items a couple years ago revolved around the fact that we didn’t live near a bulk store like Costco or Sam’s. I was also doing a lot of solo parenting of our two tiny children (one just a newborn at the time), so getting necessities like dish soap, laundry detergent, and toothpaste delivered right to our door was a Godsend.
Since moving to Alabama, I’ve joined our local Costco and enjoy making my monthly trip there as part of our grocery routine. I’m still loyal to receiving a few items automatically from Amazon Subscribe and Save though, so I thought I’d share what we received this month.
Amazon Subscribe and Save September 2018
: I paid $5.81 this month compared to Walmart.com’s current $6.94 price tag. Savings: $1.13 (Psst: This may seem like a bizarre item to have on auto, but this is my favorite everyday lip color, and I like to get a new one delivered every six months so that I always have one in my car and/or in our kitchen junk drawer so that I can swipe it on before I’m out the door.)
: We paid $2.06 this month for this item, which is a $0.71 savings from Walmart.com’s current price.
(4 x 80 ct.): We paid $12.74, which is actually more expensive than Walmart’s current price tag of $11.97. Total loss: $0.77.
: We paid $1.95, whereas Walmart.com’s current price is $2.25. Savings: $0.30
We paid $10.19, while Walmart.com’s comparable item (Pampers Sensitive Flip-Top packs) are currently $14.64. Total savings: $4.45
(Pack of 3 48oz pouches): We paid $15.29 this month compared to Walmart’s.com price tag of $17.94 for a similarly-size Tide option. Savings: $2.65
: We paid $9.34, which is $1.13 cheaper than Walmart.com.
We paid $14.42 which is $2.55 cheaper than Walmart.com’s price.
Total September savings: $12.55
A few things to note:
- I subscribed to most of these items 2+ years ago, so their current availability for new subscribers may fluctuate.
- Since I receive more than five items each month, I get 15% off of most items. This helps so much.
- I log into my account every couple of weeks to see what we’re scheduled to get, and then I make adjustments. If we don’t need something that is scheduled to come, I “skip” it until next month.
PS: My first review of Amazon Subscribe and Save early last year.
Let’s chat!
Do you shop in bulk? If so, where?
Hi! I’m Erica, and I absolutely adore sharing my life on this website with you! I come here almost daily to blab about all of the things related to being a regular wife and mother in today’s ever-evolving society. I share about our new home, what’s on our kitchen table, what we’re hanging in our closets, where we’re traveling to next, my crazy 5 a.m. work outs, how I make time for girlfriends, our faith, and much more. We always have a lot of balls in the air and somewhat thrive on the chaos. I believe in the power of story-telling as a form of inspiration and entertainment, so I’m here to do both! I was born and raised in north Alabama and recently re-planted roots here again after my husband transitioned out of the Army (he is now in the Reserve and it’s going so well!) I’m a super proud mom to three little girls (ages 7, 4, and 1) who seem to be the stars of the show around here (for good reason – they’re pretty great!) I’m so glad you found me and are here reading! I hope we can get to know each other here on the blog as well as Facebook and/or Instagram. xoxo
