True Story: I had a dream last night that my sister Jennifer and I transferred to Auburn. The only good part of it was that I lived with Lauren Sanders. Other than that, it was a nightmare.
My sleeping schedule is so messed up. I don’t think I’ve stayed up past midnight one night in the last week, and I’ve been awake by 7 every morning.
This is a problem.
Word to the wise: Never take an interim course unless you have to. It’s rough. Class for three hours a day PLUS many, many hours of reading every night is pretty miserable. I’m pretty sure I can handle two more weeks of it, but you might want to check on me though!
My kids at work turned into little smurfs on Wednesday. My co-worker Heather and I let them play with blue washable paint – MISTAKE! We scrubbed them down in the sink for over an hour. They loved it though of course! I love those munchkins. I took two weeks off for dead week, a West Point visit, and finals, and I missed them like crazy! I’m happy to be back with them for a couple weeks.
It’s wedding season! Tim & Kristin’s wedding was yesterday, and it was my first outdoor wedding. It was gorgeous! David got a little hot though. I really thought he was going to pass out! Ha! Love you DC.
One last note – I read this in Ephesians this morning and it was definately a good start to the day.
“God saved you by His grace when you believed. And you can’t take credit for this; It is a gift from God. Salvation is not a reward for the good things we have done, so none of us can boast about it. For we are God’s MASTERPIECE. He has created us anew in Jesus Christ, so we can do the good things we planned for us long ago.” – Eph. 2:8-10
Hi! I’m Erica, and I absolutely adore sharing my life on this website with you! I come here almost daily to blab about all of the things related to being a regular wife and mother in today’s ever-evolving society. I share about our new home, what’s on our kitchen table, what we’re hanging in our closets, where we’re traveling to next, my crazy 5 a.m. work outs, how I make time for girlfriends, our faith, and much more. We always have a lot of balls in the air and somewhat thrive on the chaos. I believe in the power of story-telling as a form of inspiration and entertainment, so I’m here to do both! I was born and raised in north Alabama and recently re-planted roots here again after my husband transitioned out of the Army (he is now in the Reserve and it’s going so well!) I’m a super proud mom to three little girls (ages 7, 4, and 1) who seem to be the stars of the show around here (for good reason – they’re pretty great!) I’m so glad you found me and are here reading! I hope we can get to know each other here on the blog as well as Facebook and/or Instagram. xoxo
