If you’re sick of hearing about people “flipping out” over Jason Mesnick, stop reading now! I am an avid “Bachelor/Bachelorette” fan, and OF COURSE I have to write a little something about last night. Even though I already knew what was going to happen on last night’s finale, thanks to Reality TV Steve, I was still jumping off of the couch and cupping my hand over my mouth with every “surprise” or twist. 11 of my pledge sisters and I watched all three hours together, and we were about to kick the TV if Comcast didn’t get their act together. During the first two hours, the show was going in and out, and you can ask anybody that was there – we were kind of dramatic about it. Anyway, I think all the fame and emotion of the show (he’s been on TWO seasons) has really gotten the very best of Jason, and I’ll be very surprised if he and Molly can maintain a stable and happy relationship. There’s a part of me that can understand how he “fell” for two girls in that fake environment, but if he was unsure in the slightest HE SHOULD HAVE NEVER PROPOSED. Idiot. Even though I was rooting for Melissa the whole season, I really do think that Molly is a good person and needs to think about what she’s getting herself into by agreeing to date Jason again. AND POOR TY! I hope that dear child’s been shielded from his father’s emotional rollercoaster. GAH!
Getting away from TV for a minute, Sunday’s snowfall was awesome! I had not been keeping up with the weather, and I was completely surprised when I looked out the window! I woke up about 9:45 when Jamie called, so I talked to him for about 30 minutes just procrastinating getting ready for church. The whole time I had no idea it was a minor winter wonderland outside! When I was finally making my way to the bathroom to take a shower, Abbie met me in the hallway and told me to look outside. OF COURSE I woke up Hannah, and we made a snowman on the AOII front lawn about half an hour later.
It’s March. Bring on the warm weather FOR GOOD! 11 more days until sun and sand. I’ve never wanted Spring Break so bad in my life!
Hi! I’m Erica, and I absolutely adore sharing my life on this website with you! I come here almost daily to blab about all of the things related to being a regular wife and mother in today’s ever-evolving society. I share about our new home, what’s on our kitchen table, what we’re hanging in our closets, where we’re traveling to next, my crazy 5 a.m. work outs, how I make time for girlfriends, our faith, and much more. We always have a lot of balls in the air and somewhat thrive on the chaos. I believe in the power of story-telling as a form of inspiration and entertainment, so I’m here to do both! I was born and raised in north Alabama and recently re-planted roots here again after my husband transitioned out of the Army (he is now in the Reserve and it’s going so well!) I’m a super proud mom to three little girls (ages 7, 4, and 1) who seem to be the stars of the show around here (for good reason – they’re pretty great!) I’m so glad you found me and are here reading! I hope we can get to know each other here on the blog as well as Facebook and/or Instagram. xoxo
