Has anyone read William Young’s The Shack? I’d put off reading it for almost a year because of the endless required reading I do as an English major, but I picked up my mom’s copy a few days ago and have had my nose in it every free chance I’ve had. I’m nearly half-way through, and I’m 100% hooked. I just got to a chapter break a few minutes ago and figured it was a good stopping place. I have a feeling that it’s going to rank in my top three favorite books. We’ll see!
I am so pumped about this Asbury internship! I know I’ve mentioned it in a couple of posts already, but I’m growing more excited each day! Everything officially kicks off on Sunday. I’m the most excited/anxious about leading the girls’ bible study. Girls from 7th-12th grade are free to come and hang out from 12-5 on Thursdays, and we’ll take about an hour of that time and have a bible study. Peter, the youth minister, basically gave me free reign for what material to cover, so I spent about an hour in Barnes & Noble the other day digging through dozens of books. I ended up finding the PERFECT book, and I can’t wait to get rolling with it. As much as I hope to impact these girls with insight and friendship, I know they’re going to bless my life just as much!
Jamie’s off in North Carolina (Fort Bragg) for a few weeks, and he called and told me to listen to the song “Love Your Love the Most” by Eric Church because he said it described him perfectly and made him think of me. I’ve listened to it like 10 times – I love it! Check it out when you get a chance.
Adios!
Hi! I’m Erica, and I absolutely adore sharing my life on this website with you! I come here almost daily to blab about all of the things related to being a regular wife and mother in today’s ever-evolving society. I share about our new home, what’s on our kitchen table, what we’re hanging in our closets, where we’re traveling to next, my crazy 5 a.m. work outs, how I make time for girlfriends, our faith, and much more. We always have a lot of balls in the air and somewhat thrive on the chaos. I believe in the power of story-telling as a form of inspiration and entertainment, so I’m here to do both! I was born and raised in north Alabama and recently re-planted roots here again after my husband transitioned out of the Army (he is now in the Reserve and it’s going so well!) I’m a super proud mom to three little girls (ages 7, 4, and 1) who seem to be the stars of the show around here (for good reason – they’re pretty great!) I’m so glad you found me and are here reading! I hope we can get to know each other here on the blog as well as Facebook and/or Instagram. xoxo
