Besides the fact that I didn’t go to bed until 5am central time, today is a fantastic day. Jamie and I hopped a plane in Huntsville around noon yesterday, and three flights, several delays, and 16 hours later landed in Oregon. First time to this fine state, and I would be lying if I said that I wasn’t enjoying see all of the green and yellow “Go Oregon” stuff EVERYWHERE. Jamie is a sabre bearer in one of his West Point instructor’s wedding New Year’s Eve wedding, so we’re making a little trip out of it. Wish we could have taken this time for a honeymoon, but we thought of moving up the wedding too late for a Christmas wedding! Oh well… I am PUMPED for my January wedding. We are only ONE WEEK away from the 10 day forecast… BIG DEAL! =)
I have been meaning to post some pictures from my wedding showers a few weekends a go! My have some of the sweetest, most thoughtful, loving friends in the world. As soon as I told them I was getting married in six weeks they went CRAZY making sure I had everything that I bride-to-be would have. They insisted, and I am so thankful for them.
December 17th – Tuscaloosa shower with a few of my college best friends (Pajamas and cookie party with a mini-shower thrown in there!) We had a blast. What’s better than arriving to your wedding shower and throwing on PAJAMAS for the night?! AWESOME. 🙂 Thank you Brittany and Bethy for hosting this fun night!
December 18th – Traditional wedding shower in New Hope, Alabama at Ashley Martin’s beautiful home. Ashley, Emily Parker, and Amberlee Shultz hosted this shower and it was SO perfect. The food and set up was just gorgeous and about 30 incredible people made the trip out to the country have a fun afternoon. Thank you again so much to everyone that came! Many people traveled several hours just to be at the shower.
Hi! I’m Erica, and I absolutely adore sharing my life on this website with you! I come here almost daily to blab about all of the things related to being a regular wife and mother in today’s ever-evolving society. I share about our new home, what’s on our kitchen table, what we’re hanging in our closets, where we’re traveling to next, my crazy 5 a.m. work outs, how I make time for girlfriends, our faith, and much more. We always have a lot of balls in the air and somewhat thrive on the chaos. I believe in the power of story-telling as a form of inspiration and entertainment, so I’m here to do both! I was born and raised in north Alabama and recently re-planted roots here again after my husband transitioned out of the Army (he is now in the Reserve and it’s going so well!) I’m a super proud mom to three little girls (ages 7, 4, and 1) who seem to be the stars of the show around here (for good reason – they’re pretty great!) I’m so glad you found me and are here reading! I hope we can get to know each other here on the blog as well as Facebook and/or Instagram. xoxo
