Hi! I’m Erica, and I absolutely adore sharing my life on this website with you! I come here almost daily to blab about all of the things related to being a regular wife and mother in today’s ever-evolving society. I share about our new home, what’s on our kitchen table, what we’re hanging in our closets, where we’re traveling to next, my crazy 5 a.m. work outs, how I make time for girlfriends, our faith, and much more. We always have a lot of balls in the air and somewhat thrive on the chaos. I believe in the power of story-telling as a form of inspiration and entertainment, so I’m here to do both! I was born and raised in north Alabama and recently re-planted roots here again after my husband transitioned out of the Army (he is now in the Reserve and it’s going so well!) I’m a super proud mom to three little girls (ages 7, 4, and 1) who seem to be the stars of the show around here (for good reason – they’re pretty great!) I’m so glad you found me and are here reading! I hope we can get to know each other here on the blog as well as Facebook and/or Instagram. xoxo
…and that’s what you missed on (high pitched) GLEE!
Watching THIS youtube video turned
Jamie and me into absolute Glee fanatics.
We had been hearing about all the extreme hype over the show for months and for some reason we googled it a few months ago. We were blown away by how good they were. I am not a big TV watcher at ALL, and Jamie pretty much stays loyal to his Food Network and FX manly shows, so the fact that we found this so intriguing was really surprising. We decided to buy the first season and watch it while he was home in Madison for a couple weeks. We just finished up the last episode yesterday. SO GOOD. I am seriously upset that it’s over because A.) it’s such a good show and B.) I love that Jamie and me watch it together because we rarely find anything on TV that we both like to watch.
General synopsis:
A high school teacher, who was a former glee club member back in his day, puts together a glee club composed of a variety of student (very politically correct if you ask me!), and the show follows the daily opposition they face. This “opposition” includes a crazy principal, wild cheerleading coach, fake pregnancies, undesired high school pregnancies, cheating scandals, etc. I seriously always thought the show was for middle school and high school students since it was ABOUT high school students. FALSE. In our opinion, it is definitely for college students and adults. The show is hysterical but wildly innappropriate for kids under high school age.
The first season was $44 at Walmart. Money well spent!
