Hi! I’m Erica, and I absolutely adore sharing my life on this website with you! I come here almost daily to blab about all of the things related to being a regular wife and mother in today’s ever-evolving society. I share about our new home, what’s on our kitchen table, what we’re hanging in our closets, where we’re traveling to next, my crazy 5 a.m. work outs, how I make time for girlfriends, our faith, and much more. We always have a lot of balls in the air and somewhat thrive on the chaos. I believe in the power of story-telling as a form of inspiration and entertainment, so I’m here to do both! I was born and raised in north Alabama and recently re-planted roots here again after my husband transitioned out of the Army (he is now in the Reserve and it’s going so well!) I’m a super proud mom to three little girls (ages 7, 4, and 1) who seem to be the stars of the show around here (for good reason – they’re pretty great!) I’m so glad you found me and are here reading! I hope we can get to know each other here on the blog as well as Facebook and/or Instagram. xoxo
Paul McDonald
Have you been keeping up with this guy?
Paul McDonald has turned me into a devout American Idol viewer this season! I’ve never gotten into the show, but that has all changed now! My mom worked for Paul’s dad at a small psychology office in Huntsville for most/all of my middle school & high school years, and she will undoubtedly KILL me for saying this (sorry mom!), but she has made jokes about me dating him since I was in 8th grade! When he was in high school he’d drop in the office frequently, say hello, do odd painting jobs, etc. She knew he loved music and thought he was just adorable. I did too, of course, but it was always just an “older guy” crush. Embarrassing. My mom even bought herself and me copies of his five-track CD for $5 a piece because he was trying so hard to get himself out there. Now he’s in the top 12 on the most popular American Idol season yet. Who’dathunkit?! My little ego-booster: He actually facebooked me (woohoo…!) back in June 2006 and asked if I would be in Tuscaloosa for one of his shows, and if so, if he could take me to coffee that next Sunday. I was on a cruise (darn!) and turned down my shot… HA! In all seriousness, he probably has long forgotten about the little girl who admired him in his daddy’s office while he’s been chasing his dreams as a big time singer. 🙂 I’ve landed my dream man and am A-okay watching Paul on the big screen.
If he makes it through tonight, please vote for him in the coming weeks!
