** Updates!

I finished my wedding thank you cards. HUGE deal! Hooray!
This crazy little lady had her cancer mass and kidney removed yesterday (March 9th). She’s in some pain but overall doing very well! The doctor says that the cancer has not spread, so we’re praying for a full recovery! This picture is from mid-February when Jamie and me bought her a cookie cake to celebrate the great news that her cancer had not spread.
Isn’t this little baby strikingly beautiful? Meet Brynlin. She was born three weeks ago to my cousin Christine. She is half Brazilian and seriously incredibly beautiful. She has SO much hair! My mom and I find ourselves just holding her and staring at what a beautiful little gift from God she is.
Here is the DeSpain’s first kitchen table! I was itching to start looking around and getting an idea for what type of kitchen and living room furniture Jamie and I liked, and I found this right away. I’m paying for it on lay-away because we don’t need it yet until we move, which is perfect! It’s solid oak and marble with eight chairs. Jamie and I both love/want to entertain once we get our new place and definitely think this will be a great piece in our home! Plus it will surely last us 15+ years. Hooray! Next up = living room furniture! We’re going to wait for that though. One big purchase at a time! 🙂

Here’s a link to our wedding day picture in case you missed them and are interested! Jill Amey with AThousandWordsPhotography took care of all our photography needs, and we were SO blessed to also have our entire rehearsal and rehearsal dinner photographed. She is married to the minister who married us, and they are a beautiful couple! Jamie and I love them.

In other news…
… SPRING BREAK STARTS IN 18 HOURS! I am so pumped that I have picked a career that pays for you to take a week off. I would have LOVED to have run away to the beach with Mary E, Brittany, Bethy, and Emily like originally planned, but Jamie has not been shipping off to the desert yet (HOORAY!), so I’ll be spending the week with my love in Clarksville. So excited. 🙂

Erica

Hi! I’m Erica, and I absolutely adore sharing my life on this website with you! I come here almost daily to blab about all of the things related to being a regular wife and mother in today’s ever-evolving society. I share about our new home, what’s on our kitchen table, what we’re hanging in our closets, where we’re traveling to next, my crazy 5 a.m. work outs, how I make time for girlfriends, our faith, and much more. We always have a lot of balls in the air and somewhat thrive on the chaos. I believe in the power of story-telling as a form of inspiration and entertainment, so I’m here to do both! I was born and raised in north Alabama and recently re-planted roots here again after my husband transitioned out of the Army (he is now in the Reserve and it’s going so well!) I’m a super proud mom to three little girls (ages 7, 4, and 1) who seem to be the stars of the show around here (for good reason – they’re pretty great!) I’m so glad you found me and are here reading! I hope we can get to know each other here on the blog as well as Facebook and/or Instagram. xoxo
