Hi! I’m Erica, and I absolutely adore sharing my life on this website with you! I come here almost daily to blab about all of the things related to being a regular wife and mother in today’s ever-evolving society. I share about our new home, what’s on our kitchen table, what we’re hanging in our closets, where we’re traveling to next, my crazy 5 a.m. work outs, how I make time for girlfriends, our faith, and much more. We always have a lot of balls in the air and somewhat thrive on the chaos. I believe in the power of story-telling as a form of inspiration and entertainment, so I’m here to do both! I was born and raised in north Alabama and recently re-planted roots here again after my husband transitioned out of the Army (he is now in the Reserve and it’s going so well!) I’m a super proud mom to three little girls (ages 7, 4, and 1) who seem to be the stars of the show around here (for good reason – they’re pretty great!) I’m so glad you found me and are here reading! I hope we can get to know each other here on the blog as well as Facebook and/or Instagram. xoxo
aaaaaaand go!
It’s almost flipping SEPTEMBER! Praise the good Lord —- 3.5 more months until r&r! I think I might just do a dance. Time IS, in fact, FLYING now, and it’s only going to start going by faster because —
MY SEASON WITH
RACHEL’S CHALLENGE
BEGINS TOMORROW!!!!!!!!
Y’all, I’m so pumped.
We (presenters) met an incredible man named Bill while we were at training in Denver a few months ago, and he told us that if we are ever nervous to present it’s because we are not prepared and only thinking about ourselves and not the message that we are delivering to these students, educators, and parents. That was the single best piece of advice I received that trip because it’s NOT ABOUT ME. Rachel’s story honestly speaks for itself, and I can’t WAIT to get into that South Carolina middle school on Wednesday morning. A little prayer between 8-9 a.m. Wednesday morning would be appreciated – prayers that the students are receptive to what they’re hearing and that I don’t let my awkwardness and sudden nerves impact what I’ve worked so hard on to deliver.
To the rest of the presenters – Y’all are 40 of the most unbelievable people I’ve ever met and I hope you have an amazing season! I can’t wait to share stories and see everybody again in the hopefully not too distant future.
“I have this theory, that if one person will go out of their way to show compassion, that it’ll start a chain reaction of the same. People will never know how far a little kindness can go.” – Rachel Scott
