Hi! I’m Erica, and I absolutely adore sharing my life on this website with you! I come here almost daily to blab about all of the things related to being a regular wife and mother in today’s ever-evolving society. I share about our new home, what’s on our kitchen table, what we’re hanging in our closets, where we’re traveling to next, my crazy 5 a.m. work outs, how I make time for girlfriends, our faith, and much more. We always have a lot of balls in the air and somewhat thrive on the chaos. I believe in the power of story-telling as a form of inspiration and entertainment, so I’m here to do both! I was born and raised in north Alabama and recently re-planted roots here again after my husband transitioned out of the Army (he is now in the Reserve and it’s going so well!) I’m a super proud mom to three little girls (ages 7, 4, and 1) who seem to be the stars of the show around here (for good reason – they’re pretty great!) I’m so glad you found me and are here reading! I hope we can get to know each other here on the blog as well as Facebook and/or Instagram. xoxo
Pollard wedding
My first new friend in college got married to her college sweetheart this weekend.
Lauren and me on AOII Bid Day in August 2006
PLEASE TELL ME you are not jealous of the jean skirt and chunky belt look.
Mucho attractive!
She looked incredibly gorgeous. Her dress is definitely what dreams are made of. Her new hubby Mr. Joe Pollard also looked so handsome.
I absolutely LOVED the deep sweetheart neckline. Stunning!
I was a little bit nervous about going to her wedding because I felt pretty confident that I’d be the only one there (at least of my friends) that would be attending solo (Jamie, come hooome to me!), and I didn’t want to be a third wheel for anybody. Thankfully my mom said she’d love to go to the church ceremony with me (she loves weddings anyway! love her.), and I found about 10 pledge sisters who were all there without dates. Hooray!
The reception was pretty outrageous – phenomenal band, passed appetizers, passed wine and beer, sit-down dinner with prime rib, and of course lots of dancing and catching up with some of my favorite girls.
Lesley Reynolds and Caitlin Oliver were SAINTS and drove me home (Mom took me; Remember?) and the only party foul of the night was that I left my coat at the coat check area and had to retrieve it the next day.
All in all, LOTS of fun!
Congratulations Lauren and Joe!
I know you are going to love starting your lives together in Austin.
