Greetings from Battle Mountain, Nevada.
It’s been that kind of travel day.
Woke up at 4 a.m. (except I really didn’t sleep a wink because I was so paranoid about oversleeping), took a quick shower and was out the door by 5 (I dropped Teddy off with my petsitter last night), drove an hour to the airport, caught my 7:25 a.m. flight to Salt Lake, rushed to catch my connection to Reno, landed in Reno, and THEN had to drive 220 miles to this itty bitty town. The drive was beautiful, but I am dead. Hence why I am in bed blogging at 6:42 p.m. pacific time. No shame!
We are almost to Jamie’s homecoming month. Excuse my whine, but I am so ready. I’ve about definitely hit my limit, and I can’t take this deployment any longer. I’ve been prayful about patience and tolerance, but most days I’ve just acted like a two year old lately. For lack of better words – I’m DONE with it. I wouldn’t wish this on my absolute worst enemy, but I’m so thankful for my Army spouse friends who empathize with me and understand every word out of my mouth. My mom is also a very good listener.
The cruise came at the perfect time, and it was wonderful. Really couldn’t have been better! If you are looking for a vacation that is fairly inexpensive and requires little to no planning, head on over to cruises.com and pick yourself out a little vacay. Can’t wait to plan the next one!

Hi! I’m Erica, and I absolutely adore sharing my life on this website with you! I come here almost daily to blab about all of the things related to being a regular wife and mother in today’s ever-evolving society. I share about our new home, what’s on our kitchen table, what we’re hanging in our closets, where we’re traveling to next, my crazy 5 a.m. work outs, how I make time for girlfriends, our faith, and much more. We always have a lot of balls in the air and somewhat thrive on the chaos. I believe in the power of story-telling as a form of inspiration and entertainment, so I’m here to do both! I was born and raised in north Alabama and recently re-planted roots here again after my husband transitioned out of the Army (he is now in the Reserve and it’s going so well!) I’m a super proud mom to three little girls (ages 7, 4, and 1) who seem to be the stars of the show around here (for good reason – they’re pretty great!) I’m so glad you found me and are here reading! I hope we can get to know each other here on the blog as well as Facebook and/or Instagram. xoxo
