cruise time!

A few months back, me and my sister Jennifer surprised Mom with a cruise to MEXICO.  Thank the good Lord that it’s here!

Currently waiting on mom to get home from work – should be in the next 20 minutes – then we three Olsen (er – Olsen, DeSpain, and Alexander…) women are hitting the road for NOLA! At noon tomorrow (Thursday) we’re boarding our cruise ship and losing touch with the rest of the world for a few days.

Wanted to do a little catching up before I left…… life has been BUSY the last few days, and it’s not going to slow down until the 1st. We all know I like it better like that anyway!
Saturday I did SQUAT. I take that back. I recuperated from Denver, payed all my bills (it hurt my feelings), started p90x (shoutout Sarah Branion and Torski… my motivators!), and watched Miss America while laying in my big marshmellow bed. It was awesome.
Oh! Saturday I also made this little baby…
I need to re-paint my door. I know! 😉
Thanks for the inspiration, Amber!
Sunday, January 15th brought our one year anniversary. I tried extremely hard not to be a total grump about it, but some pity party moments definitely happened. All I wanted was to celebrate our first anniversary like everybody else – wake up together, make breakfast, enjoy quality time, go on a celebratory date, eat the top of our cake, etc. That’s all for the whining. I am looking forward to year two and starting life together… FINALLY.
Our anniversary picture “together” – at least we got to Skype?
Thank God I was distracted for a good amount of time on Sunday; I caught a flight to Dallas and met up with five other presenters. We enjoyed a great dinner together before making the trip to Glen Rose, TX. We shadowed Andrew and Daryn’s Chain Reaction, then headed BACK up to Dallas Monday afternoon. Seven of us enjoyed a big ‘ol steak dinner together before me and Ali caught our flights back home.

Yesterday (Tuesday) I slept in, did p90x, unpacked, repacked, and headed home to Madison. This morning me and Jenn did a 100-minute (WTHizzle?!) HOT YOGA class in Huntsville. It was seriously intense, but we are both feeling FAB. 🙂
We both just got back from getting our spray tans and we are ready to GO! I’m excited about the way my bday will start tomorrow – p90x workout first thing in the morning, and then Cafe Du Monde for breakfast. yessssssss.
Hope all is well.
xoxo.

Erica

Hi! I’m Erica, and I absolutely adore sharing my life on this website with you! I come here almost daily to blab about all of the things related to being a regular wife and mother in today’s ever-evolving society. I share about our new home, what’s on our kitchen table, what we’re hanging in our closets, where we’re traveling to next, my crazy 5 a.m. work outs, how I make time for girlfriends, our faith, and much more. We always have a lot of balls in the air and somewhat thrive on the chaos. I believe in the power of story-telling as a form of inspiration and entertainment, so I’m here to do both! I was born and raised in north Alabama and recently re-planted roots here again after my husband transitioned out of the Army (he is now in the Reserve and it’s going so well!) I’m a super proud mom to three little girls (ages 7, 4, and 1) who seem to be the stars of the show around here (for good reason – they’re pretty great!) I’m so glad you found me and are here reading! I hope we can get to know each other here on the blog as well as Facebook and/or Instagram. xoxo
