Tucson, AZ – Weekend Top Five - Whimsical September

Like last weekend, we spent the last few days in Oro Valley/Tucson with my family. Our long weekend can be summed up in a list of my top five favorite parts of our trip together.

(in no particular order)

1. Girls’ afternoon shopping trip with Mom, Jennifer, Hadley, and me

2. Friday morning hike (thanks Mom for babysitting!)

We definitely did not mean to match!

It was no Carr Peak, but we worked up a sweat and had a really good time.

3. Friday night poolside cookout

4. Saturday night double-date at Chick-fil-a (none of us have a Chick-fil-a in our towns and we were craving it!) and a Family Fun/Miniature Golf/Arcade Center (thanks again Mom and Dad for babysitting!)

We may or may not have done the go-carts five times and I may or may not have won all five times. Suckers! 😉 😉

Go-carts, lazor tag, skeeball galore! We have never (ever) laughed so hard on a date.

5. Saturday whole-family outing to the Biosphere2 and a (middle of nowhere) delicious pizzeria

Bonus! – Watching Jennifer & Josh build their relationships with Hadley all weekend long

I asked Jenn & Josh if they could get Hadley’s swimsuit on and apply her sunscreen, and she came out with a mohawk! Uncles! 😉

Jennifer hadn’t seen Hadley since February and Josh had never met Hadley due to his deployment, and saying that they’re all quite fond of each other is an understatement. Hadley is a very, very lucky girl to have an aunt and uncle like them who love her so much.

Thanks mom & dad for getting the resort and making this trip happen.

Being together is my favorite thing.
