Review of My First Stitch Fix

Merry Christmas Eve! The gang’s finally all here and we’re looking forward to Christmas Eve festivities tonight and Christmas Day joy tomorrow.
My parents are keeping Hadley company right now, so I have a few minutes to share with you my first Stitch Fix! I’ve been reading other bloggers’ reviews for about a year, and about six weeks ago I finally bit the bullet and signed up for my own.
StitchFix.com is a fashion website that ships each customer a box full of five items based on the customer’s profile. Profiles include a customer’s size dimensions, opinions of sample outfits, etc. so that a Stitch Fix stylist has an idea of what one’s style is.
I was so excited to find my box on my doorstep when we got home from Kansas City on Sunday and ripped it open immediately! Here’s what was inside, what I kept, and what I returned.

Octavia Bennie Heathered Stripe Knit Infinity Scarf – I’ve gone back and forth on this one a dozen times, but I have so so many scarves and really don’t need another one (in hindsight I should have put that in my profile). I really like this one, but I don’t think I’ll give it a second thought once I send it back. Returned.

La Made Kai Elbow Patch Striped Knit Shirt – Oh, this shirt is so comfy. I love stripes, loves the curved cut on the bottom, and I love the elbow patches. This one is getting returned though because I already have a brown and white striped shirt. I would have definitely kept this one if I didn’t though. Returned.

Mavi Yasmi Skinny Jean – Once I slipped on these pants, I knew I’d just put on my favorite pair of pants that I’ve ever owned! My pictures of these pants are so terrible and do them no justice, but they’re perfect! They can be dressed up or down and are honestly just as comfortable as yoga pants because of their stretchy feel and waistband. They’re also my first pair of jeans that are pocketless and zip up in the back. The denim is a dark wash that almost looks navy blue or even black depending on the light. I could go on and on and on. My stylist hit the nail on the head with this one! Kept.

Mystree Kaitlin Faux Leather & Shearling Drape Vest – I was really hoping there would be a vest in my box, so I was pumped when I saw this one. I saw this it was too big though as soon as I took it out. Such a bummer. I considered asking for the smaller size in my next box, but by the time I get it Winter will hopefully be on it’s way out (wishful thinking in Kansas I’m sure). Returned.

Collective Concepts Kimberly Mixed Material Abstract Print Top – This shirt is way way way too big, but in these pictures it actually looks like it fits pretty well! I didn’t love the print when I pulled it out of the box, but I loved it once I put it on. Bummed out that this one didn’t work out! Returned.

I love their payment system. When I requested my box, I put in my credit card that they hold. Once the box ships, your card is charged $20. If you send all five items back (in their prepaid bag), they keep the $20 as a styling fee. If you keep even just one item, the $20 is applied to that item. So in my case, the $20 will be applied to my pants that I’m keeping. If you keep all five items, you get 25% off your entire purchase!

Even though I’m only keeping one item, I love all five that I was sent and am super hopeful that I’ll keep one of my whole boxes in the near future.

I’d love and appreciate if you used my referral code if you want to take a look around!

Merry Christmas friends!

Erica

Hi! I’m Erica, and I absolutely adore sharing my life on this website with you! I come here almost daily to blab about all of the things related to being a regular wife and mother in today’s ever-evolving society. I share about our new home, what’s on our kitchen table, what we’re hanging in our closets, where we’re traveling to next, my crazy 5 a.m. work outs, how I make time for girlfriends, our faith, and much more. We always have a lot of balls in the air and somewhat thrive on the chaos. I believe in the power of story-telling as a form of inspiration and entertainment, so I’m here to do both! I was born and raised in north Alabama and recently re-planted roots here again after my husband transitioned out of the Army (he is now in the Reserve and it’s going so well!) I’m a super proud mom to three little girls (ages 7, 4, and 1) who seem to be the stars of the show around here (for good reason – they’re pretty great!) I’m so glad you found me and are here reading! I hope we can get to know each other here on the blog as well as Facebook and/or Instagram. xoxo
