A Homemade Valentine Idea for Relatives from Your Baby or Toddler

Happy Humpday! I usually don’t start my posts with mentions of the weather, but the high temps are absolutely blowing my mind this week! It’s 70 degrees with bright blue skies and absolutely gorgeous! We had plans to soak up this gorgeous day with some friends today, but Hadley started running a 100.3 degree fever, so we decided that we better not infect any other babes!
Some morning snuggles while watching Mickey Mouse in mom’s bed and an oreo during lunch made her feel much better. 🙂
After her fever broke, we decided to get out of the house for a little bit to browse Marshall’s and play at the park around the corner. We are so into the swings lately! She giggles like a fool, and we can’t get enough!
With my fave Hallmark holiday/Valentines Day just a couple weeks away, I want to share an idea for a little card that I (I mean Hadley of course) put together last year for her grandparents, aunt, and uncles.
Please don’t judge how messy it is! I’ve never claimed to be any good at arts and crafts, but it’s the thought that counts, right?
So here’s the card! I combined a few ideas I’d seen on Pinterest and got to work.
I traced her hands so that the paper hands could be as close to her actual size as possible. You can’t tell, but the yarn is actually taped to top inside flap of the card.
These cards made her relatives so happy; I loved getting their happy texts that said how much they loved them! Homemade valentines are definitely going to be a tradition for Hadley and me to make together.

Almost forgot! Here’s an idea that your babe can make your husband. I can totally tell you this because Jamie would tell you himself, but this little gift definitely made him tear up!

If you’re interested in more homemade valentine ideas, take a look at this portion of Pinterest.
So many great ideas!

Hi! I’m Erica, and I absolutely adore sharing my life on this website with you! I come here almost daily to blab about all of the things related to being a regular wife and mother in today’s ever-evolving society. I share about our new home, what’s on our kitchen table, what we’re hanging in our closets, where we’re traveling to next, my crazy 5 a.m. work outs, how I make time for girlfriends, our faith, and much more. We always have a lot of balls in the air and somewhat thrive on the chaos. I believe in the power of story-telling as a form of inspiration and entertainment, so I’m here to do both! I was born and raised in north Alabama and recently re-planted roots here again after my husband transitioned out of the Army (he is now in the Reserve and it’s going so well!) I’m a super proud mom to three little girls (ages 7, 4, and 1) who seem to be the stars of the show around here (for good reason – they’re pretty great!) I’m so glad you found me and are here reading! I hope we can get to know each other here on the blog as well as Facebook and/or Instagram. xoxo
