If you follow me on Facebook (which is my go-to social media account that I update the most, so click here!), you may have seen that I finally organized all of our home improvements into one easy to navigate area in my top menu bar.
My home improvement tour will take you room by room through our home with before and after pictures. Each room contains links to the projects we’ve knocked out since we moved in five months ago.
You can find the tour by clicking the “home improvement tour” button at the top or by clicking here.
I hope you’ll take a look around! You’ll quickly notice that our home in nowhere near “pinterest worthy”, but we’re doing our best to bring it up to date, add monetary value, and make it ours before turning around a selling (and hopefully quickly) when the Army says to go in a few years.
I’d love your (kind) feedback and suggestions!
Anyway, I’m so glad this week is here because my close friend Jessica is flying in to visit with us tomorrow! I spent one day with her in June and one night with her in September, but other than that we haven’t spent a whole heck of a lot of time together since we moved almost a year ago. We used to see each other all day every day since we taught high school English classes just two doors down from each other, so adjusting to living on opposite ends of the country has been tough! All three of us are so excited to see her and her little preggo belly!
Side note: She was the first person to visit me in the hospital after I had Hadley (besides our parents). I had Hadley at 2:03 a.m., and she was at the hospital by 9 a.m. There was nothing keeping her from coming to see that baby and check on me. She’s the best!
Today’s agenda consists of attending MOPS this morning, squeezing in a workout later, and doing some last minute straightening up before Jess gets here.
For dinner tonight, I’m planning on trying out this roasted cauliflower white cheddar soup recipe from Cooking Classy that I found on Pinterest.
Hoping it tastes as good as it looks! I’ve definitely been craving foods that are piping hot since it’s been brutally cold around here the last three days. The Alabama girl has never felt a negative degree temperature (besides a windchill temp), and on Wednesday it’s supposed to be -2! Y’all pray for me that I can handle it. 😉
Hope you’re having a great week!
Hi! I’m Erica, and I absolutely adore sharing my life on this website with you! I come here almost daily to blab about all of the things related to being a regular wife and mother in today’s ever-evolving society. I share about our new home, what’s on our kitchen table, what we’re hanging in our closets, where we’re traveling to next, my crazy 5 a.m. work outs, how I make time for girlfriends, our faith, and much more. We always have a lot of balls in the air and somewhat thrive on the chaos. I believe in the power of story-telling as a form of inspiration and entertainment, so I’m here to do both! I was born and raised in north Alabama and recently re-planted roots here again after my husband transitioned out of the Army (he is now in the Reserve and it’s going so well!) I’m a super proud mom to three little girls (ages 7, 4, and 1) who seem to be the stars of the show around here (for good reason – they’re pretty great!) I’m so glad you found me and are here reading! I hope we can get to know each other here on the blog as well as Facebook and/or Instagram. xoxo
