When we got home late Monday night, I bolted straight to the front porch and found my beautiful Stitch Fix box sitting there waiting patiently for me to bring her in from the snow so she could show me all of the goodies she had for me this month. True love.
Unfortunately, I didn’t go bananas over everything inside like I usually do. This time around I asked my stylist for pieces that I could wear this winter that could also be transition pieces for spring. She listened to my request, but for one reason or another I’m just not going crazy over most of the pieces.
Here’s a breakdown.
Note: These selfies make me way uncomfortable. Just thought you should know. 🙂
The name implies why I don’t like this piece; I generally don’t like mixed material tops. Sent back.
I actually really like the fit and color, but I have a couple pieces that are the same style (where it’s longer in the front and comes to a point), and they’re just not my favorite. Sent back.
It’s a little big and a little long. I’m also realizing that I’m totally over stripes. Sent back.
I like this shirt because it’s a more mature, subtle animal print. I recently got rid of a couple leopard print pieces because they were way too bold. This shirt fits well and I can envision a number of ways to dress it up or down. I’m actually wearing it right now paired with a red cardigan for our errands today. Kept.
It’s comfortable and it fits, but like I said earlier, I don’t need one more striped piece in my closet. Definitely making a note of that for my stylist for next month. Sent back.
I’m still tapping my foot waiting for a box that contain all items I want to keep so that I can get that 25% off discount. Fingers crossed for next month! Regardless I still just love getting a new box of clothing every month and look forward to some new spring pieces next time around.
If you’re new around here and have no idea what this Stitch Fix thing is that I’m talking about, you can read all about it here in my December and January review posts.
If you’ve been reading my posts for a few months and are ready to give it a try, you can get started my clicking here! Remember, you only have to pay $20 up front, and that money ends up going towards your purchase later. Such a great system.
PS – Did you know that you can actually request pieces by name from your stylist? If you want any of these pieces above or from my previous posts, request them!
Also, this is totally unrelated, but I’m ready and so (so so so so!) excited to bring back my military love stories series!
I posted a few of these back last summer but fell off the bandwagon around the time we moved. If you’re in the military or a military spouse and have a great love story, I’d love to hear it and feature you! This is open to both bloggers and non-bloggers. You can email me at WhimsicalSeptember@yahoo.com for details if you’re interested!
Hi! I’m Erica, and I absolutely adore sharing my life on this website with you! I come here almost daily to blab about all of the things related to being a regular wife and mother in today’s ever-evolving society. I share about our new home, what’s on our kitchen table, what we’re hanging in our closets, where we’re traveling to next, my crazy 5 a.m. work outs, how I make time for girlfriends, our faith, and much more. We always have a lot of balls in the air and somewhat thrive on the chaos. I believe in the power of story-telling as a form of inspiration and entertainment, so I’m here to do both! I was born and raised in north Alabama and recently re-planted roots here again after my husband transitioned out of the Army (he is now in the Reserve and it’s going so well!) I’m a super proud mom to three little girls (ages 7, 4, and 1) who seem to be the stars of the show around here (for good reason – they’re pretty great!) I’m so glad you found me and are here reading! I hope we can get to know each other here on the blog as well as Facebook and/or Instagram. xoxo
