February’s 4×4 Round Up!

Today I’m linking up with Alex from Munchkins & the Military for her February 4×4 roundup! This link-up is all about pulling together some of my favorites from social media from last month. If you’re a blogger, I hope you’ll link up too and join the fun. 🙂

My four favorite blog posts:

A Day in the Life of Hadley: 15 Months – These “day in the life” posts take more time than any other posts I’ve written, but they’re also the posts that I know I’ll treasure until I’m gray.

Home Improvement Tour: I finally organized all of our little and big home improvements in one place. Take a look!

PCS Woes: Why Finding a New Church Home is So Hard: This subject had been on my heart for a while, so putting to words what I’d had rattling around in my brain felt great.

Two Years Since Our Last Goodbye + Deployment Encouragement: If you want to read a little bit of raw emotion, here’s the post for you!

My four favorite Instagram posts:

  • Eating cupcakes at a local bakery with my friend Jessica during her visit up here to Kansas
  • Hanging with my friend Bethy on the porch of her beach house on Valentines morning at St George Island, Florida
  • Hadley’s perfect Valentines Day = chocolate & seashell hunting
  • Rough life for Teddy

My four favorite pins:

DIY Ikea Rast Makeover: I would love to buy these and refinish them for our master bedroom!

Book Review: Growing Up Social: I often wonder how social media is going to effect our kids who will never know life without it. Reading this book ASAP!

Tips for Painting Your Bathroom Cabinets: I have three bathroom vanities that I want to paint, so this post is going to come in handy when I get ready to knock them out!

Brownie Cake with Salted Caramel Topping & Peanut Topping: Because, yum.

My four favorite posts written by others:

The Weatherills Say I Do: Tips for Prepping a Recipe Post: Madison knocked this out of the park. I especially loved her behind the scenes video at the bottom of her post!

Sage the Blog: Battle of the Dry Shampoo: I’ve recently become infatuated with my dry shampoo, so I loved reading about what other types people love.

Mix & Match Mama: 52 Shades of Shay: My Favorite Beauty Products: Shay is my favorite blogger, and I read a bunch of blogs, so that’s saying a lot about her! I enjoyed her breakdown of her favorite products.

At Home in Love: DIY Emoji Coasters: Raise your (emoji) hand if you’ve ever received a text from me in the last year that didn’t include an emoji. No hands up. I love them way too much for a 27 year old, so I obviously love these coasters and hope to find the time to make them in the near future during some downtime. Yes, I am five years old.

Erica

Hi! I’m Erica, and I absolutely adore sharing my life on this website with you! I come here almost daily to blab about all of the things related to being a regular wife and mother in today’s ever-evolving society. I share about our new home, what’s on our kitchen table, what we’re hanging in our closets, where we’re traveling to next, my crazy 5 a.m. work outs, how I make time for girlfriends, our faith, and much more. We always have a lot of balls in the air and somewhat thrive on the chaos. I believe in the power of story-telling as a form of inspiration and entertainment, so I’m here to do both! I was born and raised in north Alabama and recently re-planted roots here again after my husband transitioned out of the Army (he is now in the Reserve and it’s going so well!) I’m a super proud mom to three little girls (ages 7, 4, and 1) who seem to be the stars of the show around here (for good reason – they’re pretty great!) I’m so glad you found me and are here reading! I hope we can get to know each other here on the blog as well as Facebook and/or Instagram. xoxo
