Though we have all kinds of fun things tucked away in our kitchen, there are really only four items that I would have a hard time living without. Basically, if any of these items happen to break, I would consider replacing them almost immediately. They make my time in the heart of the home happier, simpler, and tastier.
1. Pampered Chef Large Round Stone – I couldn’t imagine baking my chicken, cookies, or homemade pizzas on anything else! We use this so frequently that we actually store it right inside our oven so that it’s always easily accessible and away from other pans and dishes. We grew up with many of these stones in our family’s kitchen, so receiving my own when we got married was exciting. I don’t claim to know the magic that makes these so incredible, but everything tastes better and cooks better on it. Raise your hand if you also love this! I’m sure there are many of you!
2. – When I was sharing the idea for this post with my mom she tried to guess the products that I can’t live without, and this was the first thing she spit out; she knows me! If you’ve ever spent the night at my house, there’s a good chance you were woken up by the scream of this blender. Basically, I can’t live without my smoothies! They come out perfectly after blended with this specific Ninja. I also use this baby to chop up my vegetables in a flash (literally three seconds). I wrote a more detailed review about it a few months ago that you can find here.
3. – It’s a really good thing that this small appliance is so easy to clean because I actually use it every other day! In the last 10 days, I’ve used this to cook a frozen turkey burger, boneless chicken, a turkey and cheese panini, and pancakes. The plates have a flat, griddle side on one side and ridged grill plates on the other side. They pop in and out by hitting one side button and can be tossed straight into the dishwasher. Love, love, love. After discovering how much we use this, we actually sold our barely-used panini maker, counter top griddle, and George Foreman.
4. – At a price like this, you can’t afford not to have one of these in your kitchen! It’s programmable which is really great for putting breakfast in it the night; We wake up to our meal warm and ready to eat regardless of what time we get up. I use our crock pot most often for shredded chicken. I usually dump a whole bunch of frozen chicken breasts in there at once, let them cook on high for 6-ish hours, and then shred it up with a hand mixer or a couple forks.
Let’s chat!
1.) Do you have any of these items that I mentioned and agree that they’re essentials?
2.) What are the items in your kitchen that you’d replace immediately if broken?
Hi! I’m Erica, and I absolutely adore sharing my life on this website with you! I come here almost daily to blab about all of the things related to being a regular wife and mother in today’s ever-evolving society. I share about our new home, what’s on our kitchen table, what we’re hanging in our closets, where we’re traveling to next, my crazy 5 a.m. work outs, how I make time for girlfriends, our faith, and much more. We always have a lot of balls in the air and somewhat thrive on the chaos. I believe in the power of story-telling as a form of inspiration and entertainment, so I’m here to do both! I was born and raised in north Alabama and recently re-planted roots here again after my husband transitioned out of the Army (he is now in the Reserve and it’s going so well!) I’m a super proud mom to three little girls (ages 7, 4, and 1) who seem to be the stars of the show around here (for good reason – they’re pretty great!) I’m so glad you found me and are here reading! I hope we can get to know each other here on the blog as well as Facebook and/or Instagram. xoxo
