Good morning! I hope you had a good Monday yesterday! The weather here in north Alabama was drizzly, which worked out well because all I had the energy for was relaxing. It’s funny how every day here at the end of pregnancy is different; Some days I feel like Superwoman and almost nearly forget I’m pregnant (until I catch myself in the reflection of glass at the grocery store) and other days all I’m good for is growing roots in the couch. 🙂 Jamie will be here SO SOON, so I’m thankful every day that I wake up pregnant because that means his odds of being here for the birth of his daughter are greater.
Today’s post is a response to my reader survey from a couple months ago and is a little more light-hearted. An anonymous reader suggested I write a post on my general likes and dislikes to get to know me as a person a little better, and I thought that was a great idea! I searched for a “favorite things survey” and liked this one below.
Favorite Foods
Pizza, ice cream, and fresh fruit (Give me all of the strawberries, raspberries, and pineapple.)
Favorite Holiday
Believe it or not, the 4th of July! There’s nothing stressful or formal about it like so many other holidays. It combines so many things I love: summertime, BBQs, fireworks, community festivals, and family and friends. Last year was the best!
Favorite Vacation
Our belated honeymoon to Costa Rica (It was truly once in a lifetime!)
Favorite TV show
The Bachelor/Bachelorette (the only TV show I regularly watch actually)
Favorite Movie
I can’t stay awake during movies to save my life, so I don’t have a favorite because I don’t watch a ton…

Of course I love my engagement ring and wedding band, but my blue topaz David Yurman ring is my favorite! Jamie got it for me as a complete surprise about two weeks before our wedding because he knew it was my dream ring. I’ve worn it almost every single day on my right ring finger for 5.5 years!
Favorite Place to Eat a Meal Out
Panera! I really could eat there every day and never get tired of it.
Favorite Beauty Product
I have three that are tied because I couldn’t live without any of them!
Favorite Car
I’ve driven four different cars in the last 13 years, but my current car (my Jeep) was my dream car since I was a teenager and I’m still obsessed with it 3.5 years after purchasing it!
Favorite Chocolate Bar
in either white chocolate or milk chocolate! This is a recent thing, but I’m obsessed!
Favorite Form of Exercise
Running (Bonus points if it’s a beautiful Saturday morning and I’m loaded with a playlist of new songs!)
Favorite City
New York City! I was just telling my mom the other day how I’m really itching for a weekend trip up there to just wander around for a couple day. It’s my favorite.
Favorite Time of the Day
I love when Jamie gets home from work until we put Hadley to bed. It’s sweet family time (I can’t wait for it again once this silly deployment thing is done.)

Hi! I’m Erica, and I absolutely adore sharing my life on this website with you! I come here almost daily to blab about all of the things related to being a regular wife and mother in today’s ever-evolving society.
