This week has been a good one so far, but it’s going to get even better today because I get to see my mom! She’s flying in to spend a week with us, and I’ve been counting down the days. She hasn’t been up here since October, so I’m thrilled that she’s coming to play with us!
Here’s our most recent slice of life. 🙂
I can’t remember how or when I started following One Stop Bow Shop on Instagram, but a couple weeks ago I was scrolling my feed when I spotted this box of precious bows for cheap! I loved that I was able to pick the size (I believe there were six options) as well as the type of clip (I prefer the alligator clip because, in my experience so far, they last longer.) I was also pleasantly surprised when they showed up three days after I placed the order! In all I received 15 bows for $35 and was thrilled! If you’re in the market for new bows, I highly recommend them! (Also, this is in no way sponsored. They have no idea I’m writing about them!)
Last Friday night Jamie made me smile when he came home from work with ice cream (I’m still on a major Halo Top kick!) and champagne to celebrate a goal we’d recently accomplished, and we had the best night hanging on the couch watching Shark Tank & 20/20 before calling it a night around 10:30. Honestly, this is the definition of my perfect Friday night. The Army has made me so appreciative of times like these that we get to spend together, even if they don’t look like anything special.
Hadley has turned into our household comedian and absolutely loves to make us laugh! My Aunt Lynn gifted this dress to Hadley and I wanted to send her a picture of her wearing it. I asked her to smile for a picture, and she immediately snuck her finger up her nose and started saying something about boogers. I fell apart laughing, and then she did too after seeing how hard she made me laugh.
She knows how to keep me on my toes, but I’m pretty darn obsessed with her!
On Monday morning we headed to post to support Jamie at an award ceremony, and miraculously the girls and I were all out the door in decent shape by 8:45 (which I consider a total miracle!).
On Monday night I spent the evening with my battle buddies (a.k.a. the group of girls who got through the deployment together) celebrating the end of a wild chapter of our lives. We waited until our kids were asleep and then met up around 8:30 for a few hours of girl time. I treasure these friendships!
A few weeks ago I was researching diaper subscription services and read up on the Honest company bundles. A month’s worth of diapers and wipes typically runs $79, but it comes out to only $59 for the first month for first-time consumers. For 240 size two diapers and four big packs of wipes, this came out to around the same price as Pampers, so I decided to give it a whirl for a month. I adore their patterns and how happy Sadie’s diaper drawer looks! (Such a first world thing.)
I went ahead and canceled the subscription for now since the typical monthly price is more than Pampers, but I do highly recommend the diapers and wipes if you want to try it with the first-timer price like I did! The diapers appear a little smaller than other same-sized diapers and fit much more snug (in a good way.) I also LOVED these diapers as overnight diapers because they’re much more absorbent (Pampers doesn’t make overnight diapers until size 3.) I mentioned in a previous post that the wipes are fantastic as well! They’re probably my favorite wipes I’ve used with either of the girls. If you want to look around at their bundles, here’s my affiliate link!

Finally, I’m thrilled to introduce you to Christine from Christine Everyday! You may have seen her hanging in my sidebar because she’s sponsoring my blog this month. 🙂 Christine and I have been reading each other’s blogs for over a year, and I’ve really enjoyed getting to know her via our little spaces of the internet. She’s a very supportive blog friend.
She shares fabulous food and drink recipes, blog tips (actually some of the very best I’ve read), stories about her family, and much more. She’s also a successful realtor, so I always enjoy her stories about her career since buying and selling homes is an interest of mine. Check out her site by clicking here! You can also find her on Pinterest, Instagram, Twitter, and BlogLovin.

Have a great Thursday, friends! xoxo
Hi! I’m Erica, and I absolutely adore sharing my life on this website with you! I come here almost daily to blab about all of the things related to being a regular wife and mother in today’s ever-evolving society. I share about our new home, what’s on our kitchen table, what we’re hanging in our closets, where we’re traveling to next, my crazy 5 a.m. work outs, how I make time for girlfriends, our faith, and much more. We always have a lot of balls in the air and somewhat thrive on the chaos. I believe in the power of story-telling as a form of inspiration and entertainment, so I’m here to do both! I was born and raised in north Alabama and recently re-planted roots here again after my husband transitioned out of the Army (he is now in the Reserve and it’s going so well!) I’m a super proud mom to three little girls (ages 7, 4, and 1) who seem to be the stars of the show around here (for good reason – they’re pretty great!) I’m so glad you found me and are here reading! I hope we can get to know each other here on the blog as well as Facebook and/or Instagram. xoxo
