Happy Thanksgiving Eve everyone! I absolutely love the eve of major holidays. Everybody always seems to have an extra pep in their step (and maybe a bit of nervous energy) in anticipation of and preparation for the next day’s events. Whether you’re spending the day with a load of friends and family or just quietly at home with your immediate family unit, I hope you truly enjoy yourselves and your loved ones.
I know that so many of you are going to hit the ground running this weekend with trying to get your holiday shopping done, but WAIT! Before you do, I have to tell you about an amazing resource that will help put a little bit of money back in your pocket.
If you’re going to shop online, check this out. Have you heard of Giving Assistant? I just heard about it three weeks ago, and I am already confident that I’ll never shop online again without using it!
It’s legit, and I’ve already made some money! Every little bit has added up, and it’s been fun to watch!
In a nutshell, GivingAssistant.org is a shopping rewards site and is designed to pay you back a percentage of your online purchase that you can either cash out into your bank account or donate to your favorite charity (they also have a ton of coupons!) I’ve always stayed away from these concepts in the past because the extra steps didn’t seem worth to me, but this is SO DANG EASY. You’d honestly be silly not to use it!
Here’s how it works
Create a quick (quick!) profile on GivingAssistant.org.
Search a store you want to shop from and discover what percentage they’re offering in cash back.
Click through to the site and shop like normal.
Within a few days (or possibly hours) you’ll receive an email notification that your account has cash back!
Boom. So easy!
Here’s a look at my account from the last couple of weeks.
I bought Hadley a birthday present from Toys R Us.
I bought Hadley and my brother-in-law Christmas presents from Macy’s.
I bought Hadley’s two preschool teachers and her PAT teacher gift cards to Target via Gift Card Mall.
I ordered a few pictures online to pick up in person from Walgreens.
I do 95% of my shopping online anyway (I think most people do these days), so this site is a total game changer to me. I love that the only extra step is going to Giving Assistant first.
Oh! And the minimum pay-out is only $5.01, so you can earn and receive your money quick! This is one of the biggest differences between Giving Assistant and its competitors.
The people closest to me know that when I get excited about something, I can’t stop talking about it and want to share it with everyone. IN ALL CAPS, THIS IS ME SHOUTING AND TALKING NON-STOP! You simply have to check it out. 🙂
Extra FYI from Giving Assistant:
“This holiday, we’re hosting a seasonal shopping event called ‘Giving Week’ from November 23rd through November 29th. While shoppers earn the highest cash back rates of the year, Giving Assistant will be doubling every donation made to our members favorite charitable organizations.
The top brands with rates we have for Giving Week are: Etsy (5%), Macy’s (8%), Gilt (8%), Vera Bradley (8%), eBags (12%), Home Depot (4%), Backcountry (12%), Forever21 (6%), Nasty Gal (15%), Blue Nile (6%), and AliExpress (8%).”
It would be a great idea to go ahead and make a quick profile now so that you’re ready to go when you want to online shop during Black Friday, Cyber Monday, and more! Click here to get started. (You’ll also earn $5 using this link, once you make a purchase!)
Happy shopping (and money making)!
Big thanks to Giving Assistant for not only sponsoring this post, but reaching out in the first place and introducing me to this fabulous resource! So thrilled!
Also, big thanks to my readers for using my affiliate link via their referral program. You can create your own affiliate link to share with family and friends after you sign up because I KNOW you’re going to want to share this! Whoop whoop!
Hi! I’m Erica, and I absolutely adore sharing my life on this website with you! I come here almost daily to blab about all of the things related to being a regular wife and mother in today’s ever-evolving society. I share about our new home, what’s on our kitchen table, what we’re hanging in our closets, where we’re traveling to next, my crazy 5 a.m. work outs, how I make time for girlfriends, our faith, and much more. We always have a lot of balls in the air and somewhat thrive on the chaos. I believe in the power of story-telling as a form of inspiration and entertainment, so I’m here to do both! I was born and raised in north Alabama and recently re-planted roots here again after my husband transitioned out of the Army (he is now in the Reserve and it’s going so well!) I’m a super proud mom to three little girls (ages 7, 4, and 1) who seem to be the stars of the show around here (for good reason – they’re pretty great!) I’m so glad you found me and are here reading! I hope we can get to know each other here on the blog as well as Facebook and/or Instagram. xoxo
