Oh, what a week. A really good but really nonstop week.
It was full of activity – Hadley’s birthday surprises, play time with her/my friends, last night’s military ball, tons of baking for various occasions, Christmas shopping, you name it. It was busy. A couple times I thought I might go a little crazy from feeling pulled in more directions than I could process, but I know I’m not alone in that feeling.
I had several conversations with girlfriends this week during playdates about the frequent chaos of life, and sometimes it just feels so good to know that we’re all in the same boat in so many ways. Maybe we don’t have the same things to juggle, but we all have our share of things that keep our plates spinning. There’s comfort for me in knowing that so many people can empathize when I’m feeling like I might lose my marbles. Sometimes you just need to get your mind right and HANDLE IT. Amen?!
Jamie has the day off today (hallelujah!) thanks to last night’s ball, so the four of us are hunkering down, cleaning the house, packing up, and gearing up for this weekend’s big trip down south. Wheeeee!
Before I sign off for the week, I want to spotlight a reader named Katie and her family’s new business venture called Sincere Elephant. Last month I wrote a post offering advertisement for any businesses that would be willing to donate to our MOPS raffle fundraiser, and Katie hopped on the offer!
Sincere Elephant has three lines of 100% absorbent cotton bandana bibs for teething drool and meal time, and they’re really precious! She sent along one “Madison Set” for Sadie to keep and another set for our fundraiser.
Each set comes with four bibs in a cute elephant-print drawstring bag. Each bib has 2 nickel-free snaps that allow for size adjustments as your baby grows. They’re extremely soft too!
A friend with a little boy (around six months old) won these bibs at the raffle. I saw her immediately open them up and slip one on her son. He looked precious and she looked really pleased as well! 🙂 Made me happy!
Bibs are a really practical gift for new mamas because they’re used so frequently for so many months (well over a year). Having ones that are well-made is also important because they’re washed so frequently. I think these would make the PERFECT baby gift for a friend. They’re also priced right too (IMO). You can purchase the “Madison Set” from Amazon or any of the three collections straight from their website.
PS: I don’t receive any commission from your purchase.
Thanks again SO much Katie for our gift as well as supporting my most favorite moms group. And thank you to my readers for supporting Katie and her new business!
Have a great weekend everyone! xo
Hi! I’m Erica, and I absolutely adore sharing my life on this website with you! I come here almost daily to blab about all of the things related to being a regular wife and mother in today’s ever-evolving society. I share about our new home, what’s on our kitchen table, what we’re hanging in our closets, where we’re traveling to next, my crazy 5 a.m. work outs, how I make time for girlfriends, our faith, and much more. We always have a lot of balls in the air and somewhat thrive on the chaos. I believe in the power of story-telling as a form of inspiration and entertainment, so I’m here to do both! I was born and raised in north Alabama and recently re-planted roots here again after my husband transitioned out of the Army (he is now in the Reserve and it’s going so well!) I’m a super proud mom to three little girls (ages 7, 4, and 1) who seem to be the stars of the show around here (for good reason – they’re pretty great!) I’m so glad you found me and are here reading! I hope we can get to know each other here on the blog as well as Facebook and/or Instagram. xoxo
