I always really enjoy little glimpses into others’ lives where they share recommendations for things they’re loving, so I thought I’d make a quick list of things around our house that I currently use daily (mostly) and can’t say enough good things about. I’d love to hear your recommendations as well for things you’re loving lately!
In my closet
LuLaRoe leggings: My former favorite leggings from LOFT don’t hold a candle to how much I love these black leggings. I wish I had a closet full of winter tunics so that I could wear them every day. I did a LuLaRoe review back in August if you want to read or see more.
Motherhood maternity tanks: I have three different brands of nursing tanks, but I reach for my tanks from Motherhood Maternity more than the other brands. I have four and wear one almost every single day (and night). Unfortunately, mine are no longer available, but are similar in style and price.
Comfort Colors long sleeve t-shirts: My best friend Amberlee monogrammed two of these shirts for me when she was practicing her new monogram machine, and I reach for them constantly. These are the most comfortable t shirts that I own and remind me of my college sorority shirts which were also frequently Comfort Colors. Here is a link to .
Kenneth Cole winter coat: I purchased this coat on sale at the end of winter earlier this year, so I was excited to bust it out for its first full season of use. We’ve seen some really cold days here in Kansas already throughout the last few weeks, and I’ve loved wearing this coat almost every day. It’s very warm and comfortable and possibly makes me look just a tad more put together during preschool drop-off when I feel like a frazzled mess. 🙂 , though unfortunately it’s currently listed at full price.
In my bathroom
Rodan and Fields skincare: I can’t wait to do a full review in a couple weeks of the products I’ve been using. Spoiler alert: I’m a believer.
: I’ve been searching for a new favorite mascara ever since my long-time favorite was discontinued last year, and this is IT. It washes off easily, doesn’t smear throughout the day, and makes my lashes as long as they probably could be.
Conair 1/2″ curling iron: Maybe I don’t know what I’m missing from fancy curling irons, but this inexpensive is my true blue. This is the tool I use to barrel-wrap my hair.
Benefit’s Gimme Brow: I love pulling all of my girlfriends into my bathroom to show them a demo of (as shown to me by a Benefit Brow Bar stylist). It’s my favorite for shaping my brows, and I use it daily if I’m putting on makeup.
In-shower lotion: I’ve used both and . I really like both and consider this an essential during the winter when my skin tends to get so dry.
In my kitchen
KitchenAid stand mixer: I never saw the point in purchasing (or asking for) such an expensive kitchen appliance, but after using my mom’s constantly this past spring, I knew I wanted one to call my own. I was gifted my back in September as my early Christmas present from my parents, and I honestly think I use it five days a week, if not six or seven. I was fine cooking and baking without it when I didn’t know what I was missing, but I honestly couldn’t live without this thing now! True love.
Lysol wipes: I started buying routinely about a year ago, and they’ve been a game-changer for keeping my kitchen clean. I keep a container on my counter at all times and use them constantly throughout the day to clean Hadley’s table, my counters, Sadie’s high chair, etc. The rest of my house may be a wreck, but I like keeping control of my kitchen!
For the girls
Winter coats from Diapers.com: Hadley and Sadie have been wearing for a couple months now, and not only are they cute and feminine, but they “wash and wear” exceptionally well (because of course Hadley’s gets dirty). They also keep the girls nice and toasty. Very happy with this purchase!
Hadley’s post-bath leave-in conditioner: Now that Hadley (finally!) has some good length to her hair, is our go-to post-bath detangler. It makes her hair really soft and smells so good.
ALDI diapers and wipes: I gave these a whirl recently and was really impressed. The diapers actually held up during the night as well despite how thin they feel. I’m admittedly pretty particular when it comes to wipes, but these passed the test with flying colors. I had just purchased a few boxes of Pampers right before I tried ALDI’s brand, so before I buy diapers again I’m going to do some price comparisons. We may be switching over to ALDI diapers and wipes after all. We’ll see!
Hi! I’m Erica, and I absolutely adore sharing my life on this website with you! I come here almost daily to blab about all of the things related to being a regular wife and mother in today’s ever-evolving society. I share about our new home, what’s on our kitchen table, what we’re hanging in our closets, where we’re traveling to next, my crazy 5 a.m. work outs, how I make time for girlfriends, our faith, and much more. We always have a lot of balls in the air and somewhat thrive on the chaos. I believe in the power of story-telling as a form of inspiration and entertainment, so I’m here to do both! I was born and raised in north Alabama and recently re-planted roots here again after my husband transitioned out of the Army (he is now in the Reserve and it’s going so well!) I’m a super proud mom to three little girls (ages 7, 4, and 1) who seem to be the stars of the show around here (for good reason – they’re pretty great!) I’m so glad you found me and are here reading! I hope we can get to know each other here on the blog as well as Facebook and/or Instagram. xoxo
