Military Life Â· More About Erica 23 Comments

Currently: February 2017

Hey guys! I hope you had an enjoyable weekend!

“Currently” surveys are all over the blogging world and I thought participating in one would be a fun, light-hearted way to kick off the week. 🙂

currently
{Currently wondering how and when Jamie and I can get back to this beautiful place for vacation.}

Currently Cooking…

A lot of meals in bulk! Since Jamie is TDY I don’t really have a reason to cook every night, and since I don’t mind leftovers, I’ve been doubling the recipes I’ve cooked and then just eating off of them for several days. Sadie is great and will eat anything, and Hadley is starting to touch a couple new things if I bribe her enough (she actually ate a few bites of a ham and cheese grilled sandwich the other day… baby steps, folks!)

Currently Excited About…

Jamie coming home in a few days and a four-day weekend to spend as a family. Really cannot wait!

Currently Craving…

Delivery pizza. We make homemade pizzas whenever we’re in the mood for pizza (I always keep the ingredients on hand just incase!), so we haven’t ordered from Dominos in years (probably since I was pregnant with Hadley). For some reason I’ve just been craving a good, greasy pizza lately!

Currently Daydreaming About…

Springtime weather and warm days spent outside with the girls and Jamie. I can’t wait to plant flowers, go on longer walks, etc. Give me the sun!

Currently Needing…

Some spring/summer running clothes. I haven’t bought new workout shorts and tops in years because they can be so pricey, but I’ve had two babies since and need some new gear to run comfortably.

Currently Loving…

My new running shoes! I desperately needed a new pair (my other pair was TOAST!) and recently took advantage of a flash sale at our local running store. I’ve been loyal to ASICS for as long as I can remember, but one of the shop owners convinced me into this new Adidas ‘Ultra Boost’ pair. Sure enough, I love them. They feel so light but also incredibly supportive (even more so than my ASICS which really surprised me). I didn’t realize what a good deal I was getting ($79) until I saw how much they are ($180). Yikes. They are great shoes though if you’re looking for a new pair!

Currently Watching…

The Bachelor, but I’m actually bored by this season for the first time in 10+ years. I’ve loved this show since season #2, but these girls + Nick as the bachelor do nothing for me. This is the only show I really watch, so I’ll still watch it religiously even though I’m not super captivated by this season.

Currently Planning…

Lots of showers! A Sip N See for a local friend who’s having her third baby, a baby shower for a local friend who’s having her first baby, and a bridal shower for my best friend in Alabama who’s getting married in July! So much to celebrate! (Psst – I have a whole section of the blog dedicated to various parties we’ve thrown, if you’re interested.)

Erica

Hi! I’m Erica, and I absolutely adore sharing my life on this website with you! I come here almost daily to blab about all of the things related to being a regular wife and mother in today’s ever-evolving society. I share about our new home, what’s on our kitchen table, what we’re hanging in our closets, where we’re traveling to next, my crazy 5 a.m. work outs, how I make time for girlfriends, our faith, and much more. We always have a lot of balls in the air and somewhat thrive on the chaos. I believe in the power of story-telling as a form of inspiration and entertainment, so I’m here to do both! I was born and raised in north Alabama and recently re-planted roots here again after my husband transitioned out of the Army (he is now in the Reserve and it’s going so well!) I’m a super proud mom to three little girls (ages 7, 4, and 1) who seem to be the stars of the show around here (for good reason – they’re pretty great!) I’m so glad you found me and are here reading! I hope we can get to know each other here on the blog as well as Facebook and/or Instagram. xoxo
